ROBERT Whittaker will get the chance to become Australia’s first UFC champion, after being named for an interim middleweight title fight on July 8 (July 9 AEST) in Las Vegas.

No.1 ranked contender Yoel Romero will meet Whittaker in a battle at 185-pounds as the new co-main event at UFC 213, with the winner being crowned the new interim champion and earning first crack at the full title of injured champion Michael Bisping.

Lost to Hall and avenged that.

Yea he landed on weidman but im oretty sure most everybody had weidman winning. I agree on calling bullshit on weidman but i dont call that a definitive win. I like the moose but wins over santos and hall isnt setting the world on fire. And iirc weidman thought it was february

Chris may have had round 1 but Mous was dominating round 2 and it went downhill fast...Sucks for mousasi that he did not get a clear win...his knees were legit...Chris was the one who messed that fight up IMO.

Far too risky. May just lead to them giving the shot to Whitaker.

Whitaker vs Bisping could be a big fight in UK and Australia due to sporting rivalry, UFC would rather make that fight.
