Just his usual bullshit though about us selling a lot of cars in the US while we don't buy a lot of American cars and he wants to stop it. Its all so unfair!
Do his supporters still think this guy has any clue about anything tho?

And his economic advisor Gary Cohn apparently didn't know that the EU makes its trade-deals in unison. He claimed tariffs with Belgium are different than tariffs with Germany, which kinda shocked the EU-guys thinking: who are these morons? But why would you need to know things about your most important economic partner? :confused:

You guys are alienating yourself in the world. Well at least anywhere else than Russia or Saudi Arabia at the moment.

BMW, VW and Daimler (Mercedes) have factories in the US anyway. And the biggest car-exporter in the US is... BMW! My new car was prolly build there too.
Not to mention you are bound to contracts and the WTO. It would be a long process to actually pull those tariffs of, unless you wanna go straight into trade-war-territory, which you don't.
Its all just hot air he blows for his dumb voters. (if you are a smart voter of his, don't be offended ;))

But personally, I would like our exports to simmer down somewhat, or at least redistribute all the value coming in a little better.

If you're buying a car for long-term reliability, you buy Japanese (maybe Korean now with Kia/Hyundai)

If you're buying a car for luxury, you buy German.

If you're buying a piece of shit, you buy American.
