GDR has fucked her career right now. At best, she fights on a fight pass prelim... If she wins she may get an FS1 prelim, but she isn't seeing the main card or even a headlining spot for a while.

At worst, they put her on the shelf until right when the length of her contract expires, give her a fight, then cut her.... I think GDR doesn't do anything different than Bisping or Conor is doing and the way the UFC has been handeling things lately, I don't blame her. Of course one makes a better case than the other but they are all out for their own money which I totally understand. Bisping has also voiced his opinion about facing cheaters -and he got the murderers row of roiders. I do understand where these champs are coming from though. I think Conor has the most legitimate excuse, $75 million according to some. So it is easy to critisize these fighters with a lot on the line, and in this case esepcially. But Cyborg had so many chances she turned down because of some sort of weight problems, just vague excuses, numerous times. She has been close to death, then she wanted a baby, then she could not make 145, but then she did 140 and almost died again, blah blah. Cyborg should fight what's her name on a parking lot. People will watch that.

It doesn't get mentioned because the situations are completely different. I think Cyborg is disingenuous in a lot of aspects, but I actually believe her regarding the weight cut taking its toll. It was an "I can't fight anybody right now" rather than an "I won't fight her specifically", which is what we have in the GDR situation. I wouldn't call a professional fighter a coward, and I don't think she is one. I think she's just making a terrible mistake here PR wise, and money-wise.

Fair enough. I think GDR should be allowed to go back to her own weight class, and a proper tournament should take place. If there are any women ready to fight in it. But it will be yet another shallow division. I don't see today's UFC pulling it off. Then again, we're supposed to have new divisons coming up?

Yeah, at this point women's 145 does seem like a waste of time. 125 seems much more viable.

Cyborg vs Anderson for the title, and a TUF season to determine the number 1 contender (the order of wins/loses can round out the rest of the top 10). That could fix this shit show.
