Starting to notice you may have a "thing" for Mafia related stuff, between the Av and Muddy Waters via Goodfellas
I'll be honest... I just hit up the youtube machine when the song came on my ipod and I snagged the first Mannish Boy link I could find since I was driving and trying to avoid focusing on my phone so much while doing 80. So maybe it's just fitting that it was a Goodfellas version that appeared.

Not really mafia, but this is from a crime movie. Reservoir Dogs is one of my favorite flicks, and it has one of my favorite songs of all time.

The George Baker Selection - Little Green Bag

Some info, if you care...
The lyrics are actually "Little Greenback". If you pay attention to the lyrics, every line is aimed to rhyme with "back", not "bag".
Lookin back. On a track. For a little greenback. And if you listen closely, it's pretty obvious he's actually singing it as "greenback".

But the single was misinterpreted by the label and they wrote it up as "Little Green Bag". The song became a hit before the album was released, so the band renamed the album to reflect the error. The cover even featured the band holding a green bag.

So the song was about money (greenback). But was interpreted as marijuana (green bag).

I feel I've written this all down before - so if this is a duplicate, I apologize.
Great Tune. Res Dogs was amazing. Tarartino has a fabulous touch when it comes to picking the music for scenes in his movies.

If you're into Music specifically history of everything from when blues turned into Rock and split into the different sub sections, The BBC did the BEST BIO 3 part Mini Series I've seen. Came out about two years back, is called Rock and Roll America" , if you can find it, worth a watch for sure..

Nice, I like it. Man that kid looks young.

Here's one Bit O Slide from one of the most under rated men out here. Had the guitar he used on this song made for him. Only issue, Couldn't find the song anywhere only the album. Skip to 37.35 and SHIT!!! Everytime I hear it, blows me away. ZUMA......
That's fucking awesome. You can definitely hear Zep in there. I've never heard that before.

He became an official member of The Allman Brothers in 1999. He is Butch Trucks nephew (Allman Brothers drummer). Highly rated guitarist by those that know of him. Completely unknown by the majority of the population.

First played on stage with The Allman Brothers at the age of 13.

When the album came out (before I'd even heard it) they announced JPJ was going on tour. I had to see him LIVE as Zeppelin is my favorite band. JPJ played at a place called Rock N Docks, general admin so got there early, was right dead center front row looking up at him. I was in shock, his guitar work was sublime. Jones never got much credit for how good he is on guitar because of Jimmy being Jimmy. It was so out there and amazing. Highlight of the night for me was Nobodies Fault But Mine. He played slide guitar part from the song AND did all Plant's lyrics in slide simultaneously.

Saw this Man live Six different times. From opening for Robert Plant to IMO a guitar Gods concert with Mark Knopfler, SRV and Eric Clapton. Remember waking up the day he past and just being crushed, another of the very best gone to early. RIP
