Navy Seals are all glamour and glitz like most things American

The British SAS wins any day of the week, long pack marches > overhead pressing fake logs in the surf

I think a better comparison would be to use British SBS, but not many know who they are, SAS have had far more exposure to public due to books like bravo two zero etc.

It would entirely depend on who the 50 men are on each side. Training, tactics, equipment are all too similar to make any difference. Could go either way.

in all seriousness special forces guys generally in my limited experience cant fight that well H2H

Now my experience is limited to a bunch of Commandos traneing BJJ and some stand up with us when I traned UFC cage fighting. What was clear is that they dont give up and are tough but not that skilled at H2H

I also watched our instructor dismantle an Israeli who claimed to be special forced, he ended up tearing the guy's pec with an armbar cause he reckons he couldnt straighten the guys arm out. Again the guy was a tough mofo but not very skilled.

SEALS all day. How many Osama Bin Ladens have the SAS got? Zero.

USA USA USA USA USA

SAS make better fish and chips for lunch though. So there's that.

I believe you... but h2h combat is probably the last of the skills they train. They would pump a dozen bullets in us then knife before they even consider h2h. I trained with 2 paratroopers/commandos here in Canada and they were tough, no doubt, but I beat them and I'm just a regular dude.
Ps:
I miss those guys. Afghanistan vets. Solid friendly dudes.

Yeah Ive read this story, my uncle served in the British army and got an eye injury during active duty in the ME (Lebanon IIRC)

The fuckers wouldnt give him a medical visa years later to get his eye repaired and he was going to pay for the surgery himself. I think it had something to do with Fiji getting kicked out of the Commonwealth for dissolving their constitution which is fair enough I suppose but a bit rough since he had nothing to do with that

Yeah 100% tough motherfuckers, it wouldnt take much for them to get to a high level of MMA/BJJ but its not really worth the time. I think I read a comment by a SF guy to the effect that if you find yourself in a H2H situation in war you have already fucked up bigtime

All that said they would wreck a taliban or Isis guy H2H imho

good to hear, always hate hearing stories about vets getting fucked by policies etc. Always disgusts me when see military vets homeless.

i think we can all agree both regiments are completely badass, but always a good discussion.
