The guy steps up on short notice to fight then-champ Luke Rockhold (who had beaten Mike only 19 months prior) and shocks the world, destroying Rockhold in a round and a half.

He then agrees to fight the guy who had the most famous knockout in UFC history against him. Very dangerous fight and Mike could've chosen an easier opponent, but what does he do? He takes the fight anyway, knowing the risks, and dominates the fight/defends his belt, despite some early adversity he had to get through.

Then GSP comes along and honeydicks him with the lure of a super fight. After all Mike has done in his 27 UFC fights, finally a big payday by way of PPV points is coming his way.

But for some bulllshit reason, GSP delays the fight from July/August to October. This is AFTER there has been a big press conference that Bisping, being the champion he is, shows up to.

But OK, Bisping is not 100% so he decides to wait out the big payday. Makes sense from a health perspective.

Now it appears all of Bisping's sacrifice was in vain. He could have easily taken a fight against Romero by now, but for reasons outside of his control, that hasn't been possible. So after everything Mike has done, he is not getting what is rightfully his.

Ain't that a bitch.

tl;dr - GSP and the UFC have completely fucked up the middleweight division and we should all feel sorry for the Count.

I can't blame that on either GSP or the UFC. Bisping has been hurt. He just needs to heal up and take the MW #1 contender. I think a lot of people would pay to see Bisping/Romero.

I'm glad Bisping finally got his title fight after 100 years of being a middle tier fighter. Hell, I'm even happy for him that he landed some lucky shots and won the belt on a fluke. However, I can't support that he has done since getting the belt. He ducked the top contenders in his division. He fought a 50 year old dude and got his ass whipped, then wanted to fight a retired welterweight. He could've fought plenty of times now if he wanted to fight guys who are active and in his weight class. GSP isn't to blame.

He wasn't hurt when they announced Gsp, only when Dana said gsp was off and he had to fight Yoel

What was GSP thinking announcing his return, agreeing to a fight, but then saying he can't fight for a year and a half? He's clearly fucking with his fans at this point, and doesn't care one iota about the integrity of the middleweight division.

I agree...it is bullshit. GSP gets to frolic around for years being all noncommittal like

and his dainty fans get to dance around and call him the GOAT like

He is very clearly afraid of Bisping.

Thanks for holding up the middleweight division, Georges.
