If you want to talk about rap, stay the fuck off this thread. This is about musicians, not talentless jerkoffs who talk over a beat they stole.

But, fuck Aerosmith.

Early Aerosmith was a badass rock band.

One of my favorite albums is Toys In The Attic from 1975. The title track is solid, then you add Walk This Way, Sweet Emotion, and Big Ten Inch. Solid effort.

I also confess to like the 80s albums Permanent Vacation and Pump.

Haven't listened to much of their stuff from there on out - other than their occasional radio hit.

I saw them in 1990 during the Pump Tour - a little known band at the time opened up for them - The Black Crowes. Great fucking show.

Why would you hate Aerosmith? They seem like nice people.
Steven Tyler is the ugliest front woman of any band ever.

And they're from Boston, the worst of human kind originates from that shithole...makes Detroit look like a paradise.

I like their debut album. It still had that nice blues-rock that I like. Seems like, after that album, they started moving to the Aerosmith that most people know and I don't particularly care for. Tyler's voice even changes from the debut to the second album. Their first album has my favorite song by them, "Movin' Out", and a good cover of Rufus Thomas' "walkin' the Dog".

I can agree with most of this.

All rock sucks ass more or less. And even you Americans have good contemporary musicians, like a Philip Glass.

This thread should be about him.

Not an areosmith fan at all, some early shit was awesome but man I can't stand anything except sweet emotion these days
Wife is a big fan unfortunately

now time to talk rap :)
You're listening to the wrong rap if all they do is sing over a beat
Real rap is telling stories through poetry, the same as a good rock, metal or whatever genre band
Listening to krs-one and mosdef will change your view on rap

They really are terrible almost as bad as the Eagles.
The Eagles put on a pretty good show. When I saw them they opened for Santana. Maybe the other way around. The shrooms...oh those shrooms.
