He shouldn't have asked Dana about blocking Cyborg on Twitter.

What is the UFC worried that Ariel will leak this time? That the fight is technically unsanctioned and Conor & Floyd will be juiced to the man titties?? COMMON!!

Absolute bullshit. This should close the "Ariel is a shill" door for people who for some reason didn't close it after UFC 199. Dude's the best in the business, always sticks up for the fighters and the UFC doesn't like it. He actively promotes UFC fighters in a better light than even the promotion does.

I'm surprised Conor let the UFC get away with it. My guess is they left him out of the loop. Ariel is his PPV homie after all.

Someone with twitter should let Connor know, I wouldn't be at all surprised if he gets him reinstated.

He should demand him reinstated and Dana removed from the building or the fight is off. It Would be one of the greatest moments in sports history.

For years i thought he was as shill, and he admitted at one point he was via third party on the ufc payrole...But that was many moons ago and he's the best in the business....If the MMA hour didn't exist, half MMA Journalists would be out of a job cus they'd have nothing to write about.

I like Ariel and I love how he brings in Bellator fighters, he will reap the rewards particularly as bellator grows.

I've grown to love his leading questions and humour, but UFC especially after Reebok has lost it's soul, I read a great article about this other day:

Dana intimidates a lot of people because he used to be a big time boxer(cise instructor) back when he pretended to be from Boston.

That said, getting a guy fired for asking an uncomfortable question is a bullshit response.

It's so easy to hate the UFC nowadays. This is why I fully support competition. This is brutal
They seem to step on their cocks daily, and I think it's precious. You can only use mafia style tactics for so long before it comes back to bite that ass.

I give him a pass on the early stuff; he was trying to make it into the business and he admittedly wasn't comfortable with the pay situation at the time. He's been a huge mouthpiece for the fighters and routinely criticizes the UFC for their shitty practices. He promotes Bellator when they have something to promote, and even recently has been indirectly comparing Dana to Scott Coker a lot, to show how one clearly knows that maintaining relationships with his talent is big while the other puts no stock in their happiness at all. Ariel is the most prominent journalist and he routinely brings these things to light.

You don't get to play with fire and expect to not get burned. The impact of this will be extremely minimal.

The UFC really, really would prefer mainstream journalists who are uninformed asking softball questions.

The problem is, as MMA continue to slowly gain more mainstream acceptance, the more they'll get these type of questions. This is like the NFL getting mad about a journalist asking questions about Deflate-gate.

They're not doing themselves any favors by having thin skin. If Dana White didn't want any questions about blocking Cyborg on Instagram he shouldn't have blocked her on Instagram. She's a major star under her employ and it was a childish thing to do in the first place.
