It continues to amaze me how they achieved such a hauntingly beautiful aural bouquet on that recording. A fitting wrap on the hippie era I'd say.
If you consider the original, and then the CSNY interpretation, it is amazing they came with a much more gentle version of this master piece. I have one of their original vynils, the song
For Melanie is on it, lost the name. I would say they are quite obscure. I have always considered them close to America (the band). Even though they had George Amrtin producing them and had several much bigger hits, but the same kind of vibe.
