Ordered a $100 DNA kit. I will update this with the results. Haven't sent it in yet. Probably do it later today. Was told we are black, Irish and German by mom and dad. We'll see.

Anyone do one?

We were thinking about doing this
Any clue on how accurate the results are?

I have thought about doing this.

Doesn't ancestry.com keep your personal data or some shit?

My half sister did it (same mom) and it seems ok. I mean there are no red flags so they told me to try it.

I did one with 23 and me. Was told my entire life that I was Russian and Polish. I'm adopted, so I got curious to see if there was anything else/also do the genetic testing they offered. Turns out I'm Italian, Irish and Scottish. My mother was not happy about this for some reason lol. At least I didn't come up as a carrier for any of the diseases they tested for (Taysachs, Cystic Fibrosis, and my favorite Maple Syrup Urine Disease to name a few).

Overall it was pretty neat since they told you what famous people shared "haplo groups" and how much of your DNA was neanderthal and stuff like that. I don't know if Ancestry offers any of those options or the genetic marker tests.

That's really cool. Hope I don't have to stop eating corned beef and cabbage. o_O

I want to do it.

I know I have native on both sides of my family. A good dose of Italian, sprinkle of average whitey, and a dash of Persia. But who knows... It'll probably say that I'm 100% from sub Saharan Africa and then half of the posters will put my on ignore.

Did one a while back. French, Irish, and Scandinavian were my top 3 making up most of my bloodline. Some random ones in there for like 1% and shit, but can't remember exactly. Part of me was hoping to find Native American for some reason.

Well, then my family and I are horrible at being Jews having never ever made this dish before.....
I read it here:

"Yet, the corned beef the Irish immigrants ate was much different than that produced in Ireland 200 years prior. The Irish immigrants almost solely bought their meat from kosher butchers. And what we think of today as Irish corned beef is actually Jewish corned beef thrown into a pot with cabbage and potatoes. The Jewish population in New York City at the time were relatively new immigrants from Eastern and Central Europe. The corned beef they made was from brisket, a kosher cut of meat from the front of the cow. Since brisket is a tougher cut, the salting and cooking processes transformed the meat into the extremely tender, flavorful corned beef we know of today."

Been trying to wait for a sober day to do the test because I don't want the alcohol to kill off the whole batch.

I was thinking of doing this but for some reason a little voice in my head is saying don't fuck with it.
What if they clone my ass the world can't handle another me it can barely handle one of me.
