UFC Statement on Jesse Taylor

The UFC organization was notified today that the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) has informed Jesse Taylor of a potential Anti-Doping Policy violation stemming from an out-of-competition sample collected on August 22, 2017. Because of the proximity to Taylor’s upcoming scheduled bout in Sydney, Australia on November 18, 2017, against Belal Muhammad, Taylor has been removed from the card and the UFC is currently seeking a replacement.

USADA, the independent administrator of the UFC Anti-Doping Policy, will handle the results management and appropriate adjudication of this case involving Taylor. Under the UFC Anti-Doping Policy, there is a full and fair legal process that is afforded to all athletes before any sanctions are imposed. Additional information will be provided at the appropriate time as the process moves forward.

Do they test fighters on the tuf show?

I assume they do but since they aren't pro fights I'm not sure if those fights fall under usada jurisdiction.

It would be within the required 3 months before agreeing to a bout that is required by USADA. I think.

Lol. Of all the decent redemption stories to fall apart. Smh

What I know is tuf fighters who fight on the finale are subject to usada tests. That would put them up for testing for the three months prior to the finale, but filming of the show is completed at that point. So, I'm still not sure if tuf contestants are subject to usada while the show is filming.

I would guess they are subject to a pre tuf physical and a drug test is included but I don't know for sure. That could get expensive so I could also see how they wouldn't test since they aren't technically contracted ufc fighters.

Let's hope he smoked weed. Not that that still wouldn't ruin the story a bit, but at least it would be redeemable.
