It's a statement that makes one think for sure, and surely the "activists" have now earned their participation badges and obtained their virtue signaling stripes.
But it is like stating murder is as Dutch as apple pie, or rape is as Indian as Tandoori chicken. A better and more truthful statement is to claim that these terrible acts are human.
This banner assumes that there is no racism beyond the border of this nation. This confrontational gesture is divisive in nature and it doesn't change anyone' s mind. What is the function of this statement? Is it creating awareness? No, racisim is in the news everyday, on social media, TV, everyone discusses it, and injects it in every other topic. No, this is not about awareness. Do actions such as these, help us come together? I'm not convinced.
