It's a statement that makes one think for sure, and surely the "activists" have now earned their participation badges and obtained their virtue signaling stripes.
But it is like stating murder is as Dutch as apple pie, or rape is as Indian as Tandoori chicken. A better and more truthful statement is to claim that these terrible acts are human.
This banner assumes that there is no racism beyond the border of this nation. This confrontational gesture is divisive in nature and it doesn't change anyone' s mind. What is the function of this statement? Is it creating awareness? No, racisim is in the news everyday, on social media, TV, everyone discusses it, and injects it in every other topic. No, this is not about awareness. Do actions such as these, help us come together? I'm not convinced.

I found this out when I was waiting a on couple and the guy asked for cheese on the apple pie. I literally laughed. Then the wife said "No, he's serious". I just stood there for a few seconds with a 'when does the joke end' look on my face and a big shit eating grin. Then I was just like "OK". One of my fondest memories.
