Been using PS Vue for about 6 months now. It had it good and bad points, so I'm exploring other options.

Anyone using Hulu Live TV, YouTube Live, Sling TV, etc?

Like to hear some opinions on other services to try and what you like about them.

I've had sling for a week.
For 30 bucks, I get spike, fs1, and fake news.
If you can get a decent stream for Bellator and fs1 cards, it's worthless.
But if you can't, and there are a few fights a month you don't feel like hassling over, it's worth it. Plus you can order PPV's with it.
I'm still gonna cancel.
Between Roku and all it's apps, (which include Youtube live streams which already contain all fake news), many of which are outstanding like pluto tv, which I use for the Glory channel, Fight TV, & RT America amongst others.
And you get all local channels for free in HD with an antenna on your roof.
You can either stream movies or redbox a couple times a month.
No one should pay for anything other than internet these days.

Also cancelled Hulu, Netflix, etc.
They all carry subsidized content you can find on free apps like crackle tv and such.

I had Sling for the first few months it was out. They had a lot of stuttering issues which sent me back to DirecTV. Now I'm on PS Vue for $140 cheaper and couldn't be happier.

What about Vue do you not like?

Hbonow is awesome
Netflix is awesome
Cbs all access is awesome

I have sling tv and it's good for live TV on the channels that it has. I stream everything with chromecast to tvs HD without skippage. Like fs1 for ufc, soccer games

Downside is that it doesn't really have many on demand shows. Tbh, I got it for the Olympics and have just been too lazy to cancel it. And it's nice being able to watch live TV every once in awhile like a normal human so I guess I'll keep it

Here's my current set up.

Firesticks w/ Kodi on all TV's
HD antenna's on all TV's.
Netflix and Hulu apps thru the Firestick
Playstation Vue which gives me ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPNnews, FS1, FS2, FOX Sports Regional networks, CBS Sports network, NBC Sports Network, Big 10 Network, SEC Network, NFL Network, NBA TV, MLB Network.

I can usually find decent streams for just about anything else I want to watch (MMA, boxing, kickboxing, NFL and college games) that aren't available.

Based on the comments in here, it seems like PS Vue seems to be the best option for streaming TV.

It used to lag pretty bad but the latest update seemed to correct most of that. It's pretty smooth now. Their customer service is shit. But overall it's okay. Was just seeing if there were better options out there since so many platforms are becoming available.

La Paix @BirdWatcher have you used PS Vue? Any thoughts on it?
No I have not.

I've been using Kodi exclusivley for almost a year now. It has it's draw backs of course but my monthly media bill went from an average of $150 a month (internet, basic tv, HD channels...) down to $45 a month (just internet). Any headaches and annoying updates and so on have all been easily solved through our Kodi experts here like @Miesha's Taint and Gay For Longo @Gay for Longo and Google. I have three Android boxes for each of my TVs and all deliver much more than fail. Another good thing is we as a family don't get sucked into that routine where we just turn the tv on to some Bullshit show, "news" or whatever out of habit because it's readily available. We plan our TV time and select what we want when we want with a much larger library than any paid service could offer. My kids are watching throw back shows like M.A.S.K. Knight Rider, He-Man and Voltron along with the newest shows. I use a VPN just incase which is another $50 annually or so.

You can get a good Kodi box delivered to your place for less than $100 with rechangable QWERTY keyboard remote and that'll get you going easy.

I'm ok with figuring the basic shit out but I subbed to this guys channel and he's awesome. Right away you can install this Ares Wizard and it does 99% of the work for you once it's going.

With Ares I can install and remove complete builds by just clicking yes or no (builds are just the user interface and content that suits your needs. You can get everything from Sports exclusive, Kids, Music, Adult XXX). Once installed you just reboot and it's up and going great. You can also use Ares to get additional Add-ons if for some chance you don't have some media to your liking (very doubtful as the builds are cover almost everything from movies, tv, boxsets, kids stuff, docus, music, live sports...)

1- Order a box online
2- Follow that YT video to install Ares Wizard
3- Select build based on other YT video reviews
4- Reboot Kodi
5- Enjoy free shit

Nope. Just sign up for an account on PS Vue's website, choose whatever package you want (I use the Core package for $44.99), load your wallet via Paypal or bank acct, set it up to automatically renew, download the app on your device, log-in, and you're ready to go.

The things I do like about PS is the guide (easy to navigate), the On Demand option, and rewind/fast forward options.

I thought about that but I'm thinking it may be too many channels to try and sift thru, when I really only watch 4-5 channels. Also curious about the stream quality. With PS Vue I get 1080p quality. Can you PM me with more details on how it works, how it would work with Amazon firesticks, etc please?

And just FYI for anyone curious, I'm all in with the above for $100/mo. $45 for internet, $45 for PS Vue, $10 for Hulu. We pay for Hulu and share our info with my old boss, and he pays for Netflix and shares his info with us.

Cost about $300 to set everything up: Firesticks, Linksys router, antennas, etc.

I was paying $260/mo for shitty ass internet and cable with U-Verse. So glad @Miesha's Taint La Paix @BirdWatcher jason73 @jason73 and some others talked me into streaming and walked me thru the process.
