How is it disrespectful to dead people to disbelief mainstream media's and government agencies' reports on how they were killed?
Plant closes in January, so I just started sending put resumes. Have to take a test Friday for one company. Plenty of jobs here in Jacksonville, it is just stressful.
I’m not liking the stories coming out about this. I don’t think Stephen spent decades acquiring his “arsenal”. He had about 10 guns last year and suddenly went and bought 33 more since October. Those original 10 were the ones everyone knew he had (the ones from the Reno house).
So the question really is (to us anyway) what happened last year for him to be a casual handgun guy for decades and suddenly see the need to acquire 33 rifles with bump stocks and all of the other gadgets/ accessories he had. (Sorry I’m not into that hobby).
That’s what’s strange to us. What triggers him to go from the guy we knew to one who thought this was a good idea and started executing the plan.
I don’t think he had accomplices. He really was a loner. Wouldn’t want help for anything really. Same goes for the remaining paddocks we know. They’re self sufficient loner people. If anything they should be looking at shops that helped him figure out the options on the guns he bought. Maybe he ran into people at the range and talked shop with them. But I can’t see anyone else knowingly being involved in the planning or the attack. I could be wrong of course but that’s my input.

Once Steve had so much comps acrued at the Atlantis in Reno that he flew the whole family (at least 10 people) to Reno to use them up. We had so many comps that we couldn’t possibly spend it all. We all came home with bottles of Johnny Walker Blue (I still have some of it left and will probably never finish it now). The comps paid for a snow mobile excursion through the mountains. Multiple spa treatments. Unlimited food. At one point Steve told us we weren’t using them up enough (he did like using up every free comp he could get. Waste not want not sort of mentality). All the while he seemed so fucking happy that his family was enjoying the luxuries and benefits of his life style even for just a 4-5 day trip.
Sorry fellas but the reality of losing our family member is totaling battling what he did in our heads and hearts. We just can’t fathom it. I can see him saying fuck you to a casino that cuts off his comps but I can’t see the jump to what he did. It’s just not making sense to us yet. To everyone I suppose but the media will eventually paint a palatable (read: inaccurate) picture so folks can find some closure or reason for this. I don’t know if we (the family) will ever know though and that’s just as fucking tough to swallow.
Then I think of the people he killed and hurt. Their families and loved ones and holy shit that hurts right in the feels.
God dammit uncle Steve. Why did you have to go fucking crazy and do this shit. It’s not your thing man. Why involve anyone else? Especially innocent people?!

But what’s not making sense is involving other people. People that on any given occasion he would have been down there with, along side Marilou, enjoying the music.

Think about it...someone with money enough to buy those guns in one year can do it relatively unnoticed. The gun store owners etc all said he was talking about entering competitions and was buying guns for different events. Rich people buy lots of weird guns because they’re cool and they can in NV. So he bought guns, a few per month under the auspices of entering competition or for whatever reason. My point is, it’s not difficult nor strange. People buy guns and if you’re a regular person it happens fairly easily. So no stretch of the imagination there.
Then there’s the question of how he got them up to his room. Well when you’re a VIP they don’t go through your bags. They have thousands of people walking in and out of that hotel on the daily. Who’s going to stop a VIP from walking to his room with two roller suitcases with him? Or even a couple big suitcases? He probably paid some kid 100 bucks to load a few on a gold cart and the they brought them up there for him. Again it’s not something I find very difficult to accomplish.

A little of both. He’s a bit wound up anyway but because of this he’s quite a bit more. He’s the type of guy who sees a problem and wants to fix it. For once he’s encountered a situation he can’t fix so his brain is going a bit haywire.
