I wonder what the correlation is between gun violence and increased exposure to the following:
  • video games
  • television entertainment
  • television violence
  • unhappy work environment
  • hollywood violence
  • reading
  • being active in a team sport
  • spending a lot of time outdoors
Ban all these evil things you speak of!

Oh and you forgot: Freeloading Rusty @MC Gusto spam fucking a thread. That may also have a correlation :)

Gun control was a requirement for slavery. It's a big part of why slaves weren't considered people (so the constitution didn't protect them) and why later Jim Crow laws prevented them from owning guns during segregation. The Democrats have come up with some really creative stuff to try to shaft black people over the years.
Democrats literally hated black people and now pander to them for votes. We have an interesting political history.

Fuck, I'm gonna buy a gun right now. If you put it that way.

Hollywood mirrors current events, it's why it's a sustainable industry.
Borrowing from Captain America Civil War, in regards to "superhero" registration:

Tony Stark: "If we don't do this now, it'll be done to us."

Captain America: "We may not be perfect, but the safest hands are still our own."

I side with Captain America.

The anti-gun constituency clammors about the evil of the .00001% and the power they have, evil, controlling everyone. Aligning with police brutality against mainly minorities
Then beg to take their defense against it away.
In absence of the word "brainwashed" It's so mind-numbingly stupid it's beyond comprehension.

OF COURSE when there are no rocks, rock assaults go down, it's the most narrow & painful statistic to hear.
It doesn't address where the total power now lies, from nukes to tanks, drones, IRS, courts, CDC, "Human Services" etc.
Without the THREAT of resistance, there is no social autonomy.
You are now a peasant under the king.

Even the utopian fantasy Star Trek has fucking phasers, & they're not for ratings.

There is no logical argument weighing the human condition & history's proof.

I think they are. Remember that I love you cunts....I ain't denigrating anyone...Just your thoughts?

Fire away.

No pun intended
Of course they are. They were needed when this country was in its infacy and savagery. No longer needed - in order to outgrow its savagery.
Needs to focus more on love. Less guns more love.

I side with Captain America.
While he's a lame superhero, he may be right on the matter. But what if we take this analogy and make it about illegal immigration. The Captain America is basically advocating illegal immigration and thus, the superior super hero, that is Iron Man, is in the right.

This analogy isn't about illegal immigration.
We all know illegal is arbitrary just as the 2nd ammendment can be ammended.
We can always move lines or make them disappear, but lines have and will always be drawn. Those are called nations, and they choose what is right for them, with their neighbors & history as a reminder.
Guns are illegal in Mexico, yet we're not lining up at their borders.

Democrats literally hated black people and now pander to them for votes. We have an interesting political history.
And Republicans took up the hate part and now try to block them from voting. Progress!

Here's an article by an Australian news source about the huge spike in gun crime in Melbourne. Apparently it's doubled in the last 10 years. I'll allow you to draw your own conclusions on the effectiveness of gun bans.

Gun city: Young, dumb and armed
I have met 2 people here in 14 years that own guns. One is an avid hunter (kangaroo/boar etc...The other guy is a farmer.

I'm in Adelaide though.

2 people that have told you they own guns. I met 30 Aussies this year who owned guns. They don't talk about it when they're at home because they're persecuted for it.
