When the gun control arguments come out, we have to remember where a lot of people, who aren’t familiar with firearms but want to just be virtuous and argue on social media, get their information...

They just had someone on NPR that said the AR (which she said stands for Automatic Rifle o_O) should be banned because it's an assault weapon.

Also, people in the gun community tend to over purchase things when there's a chance they may become banned or restricted. I've fired them and they're unreliable and extremely hard to be accurate with, so I don't care to own one.

THe government capped supply in 1986 and that shot the price up. The prices really haven't changed much since then. So imagine one day you can buy a fully auto M16 for a couple grand and then the next day that same weapon is around $20k. That's just the weapon itself. You still have to pay the fees and taxes for the process to get approved to own it and there's no guarantee you get approved. In all my years of being around firearms, I've only met two people that have gone through the process and own fully automatic weapons.

What I'm finding funny about the current gun ban push is that if Trump's in power for another term the companies will all be fucking bankrupt anyways.
