Regarding Jason not saying something in the mic, regardless of his earpiece advice, if any, the point doesn't even seem to make sense.
Perhaps if he knew he wasn't the target amongst gunfire, knew his wife & family were safe, & dwelled in a bulletproof bubble all within a microsecond, it would've been great to relay something to those who couldn't figure it out for themselves after watching bodies fall, hearing gunfire, screaming, etc.
As already mentioned, running off the stage himself was a pretty good indicator & may have saved just as many lives, or more, who knows?
If he was the target, running back out there may have even caused dozens more casualties.
Regarding Dana, as usual, the sociopath is out of his gawtdamn mind.
And it's already been mentioned why.
The UFC donates 1 million dollars, (likely less than Dana's blown in one night of gambling money that could've gone to the fighters, and came FROM the city in one night), and let's this idiot publicly trash a man who physically went through this tragedy?
With the motivation of, as others have said, to exploit it for HIS benefit?
Then tell him not to come to Vegas, possibly inadvertently or BLATANTLY implying fault?
Dana has literally said thousands of stupid things, but in light of the tragedy behind this topic, this might take the cake.
He should be removed from his position immediately and forever.
Disgraceful.
