I don't see the correlation. Being white does have advantages namely that they are liked and have neutral standing with virtually all people on earth. That doesn't mean you cannot be addicted to drugs or kill yourself.
There's a lot of pressure and expectations that go along with running the world.
The catalyst to both is typically depression. You'd think if being a white male were so peachy, they'd be the least likely to be depressed. I think whites are universally the most liked or at least viewed with neutrality of all races. Using depression isnt really a great example because many of the whites in US are many generations in while ethnic minorities are commonly immigrants. Immigrants have different priorities and usually can't afford to kill themselves even when severely depressed because they have dependents to support while white males may feel like their existence in the world goes unnoticed or that no one is dependent on their existence.

I didn't say they were more likely to suffer from depression but feel like their life is not as dependent on others. Notice its not young white males or white males with young kids, It's middle aged white males who are likely past the age of having dependents and maybe even divorced. That demographic that feels like they have nobody who needs them. Immigrants tend to have endless amounts of dependents back home beyond their immediate family who often depend on handouts.
