Like that idea but.... Haters would say the UFC gave Hendricks to GSP because they are protecting him. As you point out Hendrick's "is a shell of a broken man", so they're giving him an easy fight.

Think Whittaker will happen then GSP will drop to WW to face Woodley. The Reaper trained at Tristar and GSP was the one who helped him with his wrestling defense, getting it as good as it is now. However Georges and Firaz also know Rob's weaknesses in wrestling and how to get him down. GSP would take Him down and sub him, that was one of Rob's weaknesses when he was at WW.

GSP will drop to WW and face Woodley. A fight made for GSP. Woodley, like many others would be too scared of the takedown which would hinder his striking. Rush, mixes it up with jabs, kicks, and takedowns and wins his WW title back then vacates the MW Belt.

If this happens and Georges wins both fights... GSP would be the only Two weight class Title Holder that defended BOTH belts. Conor would be pissed someone bettering his record. At which point Mac would call out GSP for a SuperFight.

GSP said when he first came back he wanted four more fights and had a plan. From what's been said from his coaches and himself this is my take on it.
It's not a bad train of thought.

If he pulls it off it would be something to see (apart from the Woodley fight, he will turn it into a boring shitfest)

If georges is smart he will rematch hendricks now.jonny is a shell of a broken man and gsp would finish him in the second round.it would finally shut jonny up .he could also fight anderson.there has never been a better time for gsp to fight andy.in their primes Andy would have kicked his head off.right now i would favour georges.both fights are asterisks on georges career .both could be easily won at this point.since belts and contenders mean nothing anymore why not?
He's contractually obligated to fight bobby next.

The last thing MMA needs is GSP vs Silva. Ever since his leg snapped he's not a benchmark for greatness so why bother?

Imo GSP put way to much effort into packing on weight for MW so to drop down to fight Conor doesn't seem too likely for the time being.

Next fight needs to be Whittaker. If he can unify then his legacy is cemented 100%. If he loses then it's time to entertain some more "money fight" options.

That was before he finished Bisping and this was some of the reasoning.

In fact, McGregor himself addressed the possibility of the fight in late September.

“It’s another money fight, even though he’s been retired,” McGregor told Caroline Pearce at An Evening with Conor McGregor (via MMAFighting). “I don’t know, I think he’s going to get his (expletive) whooped by Bisping. To be honest, I think it’s a mistake for him to step in at that weight after so long out.”

If he stays at WW, he gets worked by Whitaker. If he drops back down to WW, he gets worked by Woodley. Might be a good idea to retire on top & go out on his own terms again.
I love ya man but Woodley? LOL @ that. GSP would beat that ass. Who knows with Whitaker at this point. He is looking so good.

There is no way the UFC passes up making a big money circus fight to do the right thing for the division (Whittaker fight). They know GSP is not going to be around for long and they are going to make as much cash with him as they can in the limited window. I don't agree with it, but I won't be surprised when they wipe their ass with Whittaker's "contract".

I have to say it was nice to see the REAL Georges the other night. The one who wants to finish and not just point fight his way to a title defense.

I dont think the GSP we saw gassing after the 1st round against Bisping could beat Woodley. He's not going to get a takedown against Woodley...and then what?

He will outbox the fuck out of him. Woodley is like a worse version of Kos.

GSP looked slow the other night to me. I just don't see him outclassing Woodley on the feet. One big right from Tyron and GSP is in trouble. I think it's a terrible match up for Georges, and I routinely with the Monsters Pick Em Challenge, so people should listen to my opinions closely.

GSP gets worked by NO ONE. Both tough fights but GSP takes them both.
Guys like GSP and me never back down and we love taking it to the limit in the danger zone. We are incredible men.

Whittaker...

Woodley...

It's science...

TWO THOUSAND, EIGHT HUNDRED AND FIFTY NINE POUNDS OF FORCE!!!! SCIENTISTS HATE HIM!!!

I ROUTINELY WITH THE MONSTER'S PICK 'EM CHALLENGE AS WELL.

I still have not seen diddly from Tyronn that makes me think he can out box a guy like GSP. Tyronn is just a really good, jacked up wrestler with power.

GSP the challenger > champion

He would beat Woodley...and has a decent shot at beating Whittaker.

That's what they said about GSP when he fought Fitch, (Prime) Kos, Hendricks, and Hughes... "Georges won't be able to get him down, their wrestling is too good". Sure all are very high level wrestlers but GSP has better MMA wrestling. GSP at 185 isn't the same as at 170lb, his speed and cardio will certainly on point. Woodley has great wrestling too, when on his heels and getting jabbed it's a different story. He's showed weakness there, Tyron's a fighter who hates getting hit, we saw that in the Rory fight. The same thing will happen with him as with every one of Georges opposition, their striking becomes limited worrying about the takedown. Johnny was a different story as he just don't give a shit, will go strike for strike, don't see that from Tyron imo.

This fight happens it will be GSP all the way. So far since Tyron's Championship reign we've seen him fight a BJJ Master (without the best TD's), a Karate striker ( that was very close both times), This fight is similar to putting both of those skill sets together and adding top level wrestling with transitions. That's a big difference than facing one dimensional fighters.

Gsp showed signs of slowing later in the 2nd but he rallied back for the win the next round. Remember this is the first time he's fought at MW so he's going to be figuring out what pace works best. If he goes down to fight Woodley his tank will improve a lot and NOBODY can say with confidence that GSP won't get the TD. We've heard that same talk in so many of his other fights to only be proven wrong. And if for some reason he can't then that jab will keep Woodley at bay for 25 minutes.

Basically the UFC should be matching him up with Stipe right now because Georges is spittin hot FIYA!!!

I think GSP was worried about his gas tank in the Bisping fight. So when he felt like he might be getting tired, he decided to drop him with a left hook, nearly beat him to death with elbows and then choke him unconscious.

It was said afterwards that Georges went for the finish because he was worried when the round ended they Dr's may stop the fight because of the cuts. He didn't know haw bad they were and if they could be stopped so thought he'd better try and end the fight just in case. It wasn't about his gas tank.

What is very cool, When Freddie Roach bent over and whispered at GSP at the end of round two he told Georges to do that exact combo. He saw Mike leaving that opening they'd practiced and told GSP to go for it if Bisping got up from the TD. Pretty freaking cool IMO.
