Gsp knows he slowed down and started gassing.he will work on his weaknesses.he always has. Lol at woodley all of a sudden being this unstoppable juggernaught that gsp has no chance of beating.what is woodley going to do when he is swinging at georges and he aint there.firas will figure out a game plan to defeat tyron and gsp will execute it perfectly.haters gonna hate.

He could always fight bj penn again if you think tyron is too tough for him.

It was said afterwards that Georges went for the finish because he was worried when the round ended they Dr's may stop the fight because of the cuts. He didn't know haw bad they were and if they could be stopped so thought he'd better try and end the fight just in case. It wasn't about his gas tank.

What is very cool, When Freddie Roach bent over and whispered at GSP at the end of round two he told Georges to do that exact combo. He saw Mike leaving that opening they'd practiced and told GSP to go for it if Bisping got up from the TD. Pretty freaking cool IMO.
Great info. You have a link to this I can read? I hope we see Roach in GSPs corner every time now. That left hook surprised me, no idea he had devastating power like that but I'm not too surprised.

Anyone "hating" GSP's a knob. Considering his 4 year ring rust he still put on a decent enough performance, he'll put that experience into action whilst training for Whitaker.

Did he struggle with cardio before? I don't think so but 4 years feels like forever ago now. His Penn fight's still probably my favourite fight of all time.

Whittaker would be a big problem for GSP. GSP's best chance is against Woodley and he would do much better against Woodley than we would think. Woodley is very dangerous fighter coming forward but he also backs up a lot and people who took advantage of that were able to beat him. Woodley backing up is tailor made for jab jab double leg as long as GSP has the conditioning.

I think GSP can beat him.

Have read, listened and watched a LOT of Post Fight articles on this fight. Will check and see what/where I can find it for you once I get to my laptop (using cell right now), then post it for you. Info was from two diff articles.

Agree with the Woodley analysis. Not so much regarding Whittaker. Rob was a WW prior to moving up to MW, which makes him a smaller fighter in the MW division. SInce GSP is already talking about going back down to WW, he will lose some mass while gaining speed and better cardio, he won't need the extra Lbs not dealing with someone the size of Bisping.

Whittaker earlier in his UFC career didn't have the wrestling TTD he has today. Big part of his improvement was his moving to TriStar, rolling with GSP and being coached by Firaz and company. This did help The Reaper immensely, however Firaz and GSP know RW's wrestling better than anyone, thus knowing his wrestling and grappling weaknesses better too. No way GSP showed him everything he knows. IMO this IS a big advantage for the NEW MW Champion. TriStar is extremely good at getting to know their opponent and coming up with the right game plan to expose and win, knowing the fighter well helps even more. Rob has great striking but Freddie Roach will figure out Whittaker's flaws and build a path for GSP to counter them, similar to how Freddie figured out Bisping, developed the combo which put him on his ass.

In NO way do I think this will be an easy fight. A quicker, smaller GSP with a better gas tank, Georges will be a better version than we saw at UFC217. Not to mention after four years away, being outside the Octagon for so long GSP will now feel more comfortable in the cage, have his timing back and nerves gone. This fight will hopefully remind the critics just how good GSP is and to quit doubting him. No other fighter has won against every fighter they have faced in the Octagon. GSP may have lost twice in his long UFC career but erased both losses in the rematches (both finishes). NOBODY else has EVER done that. MM and Jones still have yet to avenge their losses.

GSP will entice Rob into coming forward (Rob already said he thinks GSP has slowed), will go for the double leg and take The Reaper down at will. From their GSP will set traps and Choke the Aussie out.

The greatest WW of all time ALWAYS gets the job done.

I agree with a lot of what you're saying, but a "quicker, smaller GSP with a better gas tank" is the GSP at WW, not MW, at least for what he know about him right now. I think if GSP fights Rob at 185, Rob will have the speed advantage for sure. GSP may even outstrike Rob in the first couple of rounds, but Whittaker has so much power and speed at 185 that I think he will come forward and MAY clip GSP the moment GSP starts to slow down like he did against Bisping. For these reasons I think Whittaker is a big problem for GSP at 185, but I still think GSP can beat him of course if he fixes his holes. At 170, I think GSP beats whittaker easily.
