Wear and tear certainly isn’t helping Ken Shamrock’s chances of a return to mixed martial arts.

Shamrock, a UFC Hall of Famer who last fought longtime rival Royce Gracie in a Bellator fight almost two years ago, is open to a comeback if the price is right. But the MMA legend has more important things to worry about first; before any discussions of another fight occur, he has to get his knee replaced, a lengthy process that will sideline Shamrock, 53, for at least six to eight months.

“I’ve got some things I gotta take care of,” Shamrock, who was in Winnipeg last weekend to promote his new comic book Rumblesport: Roads to Ragnarok, told BloodyElbow.com. “Not…

There's no point making a comeback now, Bisping's already lost the belt...

Went back and read through the article. This stuck out

“I believe Royce just doesn’t want to fight again, and that’s fine, that’s OK,” Shamrock said. “You get to a certain point and you say, ‘Hey, I’m at a certain age where I just don’t believe I can get in there and train or I don’t have the desire to fight again.’ That’s fine. I’m not going to pressure him. I’m not going to say, ‘Hey, you should fight me.’

Then on top of mentioning that he believes a match in WWE is possible, for the top title against Kurt Angle, signifies he may possibly be having a hard time accepting his limits/age. Its actually a depressing read. Recommend Ken Shamrock fans not to read it.

First off I got to sit and watch an entire nhb event with Bob Shamrock. And by all accounts he was a pretty awesome guy.

Next
If you think Ken is beat. Try checking out the lineup between 5-8pm at the palomino club.

I actually want to see Royce vs. Ken again.
Royce looked FAR better than I thought he would. And like Ken/Sak, I didn't get to see as definitive an end as I'd like.

I think if two guys, at any age, pass a physical and want to go at a venue, then far be it from anyone to stop them.
Even Helio years back said he's willing to get in there with a comparable opponent, and that I would've paid to see.

But if Ken is just getting in there against any amateur/pro off the street, or if there was another fight with Royce that ended in a similar manner, my only interest thereafter would likely be my shameful, morbid curiosity.

I got no issues with bob. Dont know much about him but ken has been a steroid using hot head for years and im 99% sure he threw that fight against kimbo. How does he have kimbos back and not finish. Kimbo couldnt spell jiu jitsu

Not to mention him supposedly cutting himself in the back to avoid kimbo the first time and probably had already been paid.

Or ken demanding to be paid upfront by promotions (ucfc) and then pulling out of fights after tickets were sold and not returning the money. Nice way to fuck over the small time guys in the sport for his own steroid expenses.

Also i do think ken is beat. I think he knows hes beat. Remeber his 11.99$ per minute call a champ BS.

29 th October 2012 [Author's Note: The date was wrong, so I figured things weren't exactly off to a promising start...] – UFC Hall of Famer Ken Shamrock has announced the launch of his own fundraising chat line, allowing fans of the legendary icon to call him directly on his cell phone.

His service is part of growing micro-access phenomenon, whereby well-known public figures can connect anonymously by phone with their followers on a pay-per-minute basis.

Calls to the UFC celebrity are priced at $11.99 per minute, and he will join a growing list of sports luminaries who have agreed to have fans call them directly.

Hes done alot for the sport but hes just doing for him now. I dont respect a cheating steroid fraud. Even chael says this guy is a scumbag and will do whatever he can to get over on the next guy for a buck. Fucking chael bro
