That's a little odd. Most of the time unless you have some sort of immune disorder or it's weakened due to illness or age you shouldn't get Shingles. Not at your age anyway. If you were close to 50 and out of shape, diabetic, previously had a nasty infection, had been through radiation I'd get it.

Im sorry to hear man. My father had it a few years back. He actually tried to tough it out and not say anything. But we made him go to the Doc and get treated. He said the pain was pretty bad tho.

Hope it gets treated and all goes well.
