that's what I was going to say, more likely we'd have a military coup than 70% of ppl in the armed forces kicking doors down to take away law abiding citizens' guns
If they start to do that, ppl will rise and Militias will be formed and some kind of civil war will break out.

When they come to confiscate individuals guns, they’ll need more manpower than 1:1, most likely at least 4 Authority to 1 individual. there are more Guns than Ppl in the US (114 guns per 100 ppl I think) and once they start hearing rumors of Gov secretly raiding ppl’s guns, ppl will arm up, join groups, reinforce to fight the Gov.
And out of all the gun owners, there are plenty of combat experienced former military to take leasership roles to organize defense and tactics against the Gov
