Did Indy not believe in Wentz? Strange that they were so willing to part with him after one season in which he played fairly well.

The Colts owner is very impulsive. Rumor has it he was already mad at Wentz for not getting the vaccine and that he blames Wentz for not making the playoffs. Wentz had 1 year in the system and had 27 TD’s to 7 picks. He made some bone head plays, but it was his first season with the team. Not to mention he was fighting injuries. They really should’ve given him another year. In my opinion, he far from washed. Injuries are a concern, but that can be said for many players. I expect him to have a Very solid year in Washington.
the best the Colts can do now is Matty Ice. He’s a little past his prime and isn’t an upgrade. He won’t take as many chances as Wentz, but won’t make the big mistake. I think Irsay wants a game manager and hopes the running game and Defense can carry the team. That can win a lot of games, but not really how teams win the big game nowadays. You gotta have a QB that can make plays when the game is on the line.

Tbh it's kind of a relief. It was difficult supporting Reek, because although there is definitely an angle to say he got railroaded by the US justice system. There certainly is a lot smoke.
