What's going on with Jamarr Chase? Guy was impressively consistent for the first 8 weeks of the season and since then, with exception of the SF game last week, his play has considerably dropped off.

Defenses pay a lot of attention to him now. Gets doubled up a lot. He has had a few drops too.

He'll be fine.

Especially with your 2nd string QB in there.
Just dumb.
If you wanna win the game, go for 2 after the first TD when you're down by 14 points. That way you can still tie the game theoretically by converting after the second touchdown.

Putting the game on the shoulders of your backup QB, at home, in the final seconds of play just blows my mind.

PAT success rate: 94%

2-point conversion success rate: 49%

Miami has ripped off 6 wins in a row and there is some playoff buzz around the team. But at 7-7, they pretty much have to win their final 3 games to have a chance. 9 wins ain't getting it.

The teams they beat in this 6-win streak? A combined record of 26-58

Their next 3 games? 25-17
Saints, Titans, Patriots

The question isn't "Do you think they'll make the playoffs?"

The question is "Do you think they'll finish 7-10 or 8-9?"

Mayfield and Keenum both have The Rona.
3rd stringer Nick Mullens (former 49ers qb) will get the start this afternoon (5pm) against the Raiders. He has yet to take a snap this season.

That's twice in what, 3 weeks? 4 weeks?

Harbaugh thinks he's playing 32D chess by going for 2 to win the game instead of kicking the PAT and sending the game into OT. Then it blows up in his face.

Fuckin guy is the new Pete Carroll.

Just dumb.

It was the right call both times. They have tons of injuries and were lucky to be in the position to steal a win. You gotta try to win instead of losing a coin toss and not getting the ball back in OT.

Disagree.

And if you are going to go for it, that was a shit play. Basically a gamble with a single option for a receiver. Although it looked like there was a receiver along the back of the endzone (Brown?) who would have been a better option.

He threw it into triple coverage. The ball had zero chance of being caught.

Glad to see it though.
Fuck Harbaugh
Fuck the Ravens.

A coin toss is at least 50-50. Success on a 2-point conversion is lower. And the way their defense was playing against the Packers late in the game, it's still the smarter call even if they lose the coin toss.

Well, you are technically correct I suppose.
I misspoke, prob bc I was too lazy to explain.

So many variables go into play. As I've stated, the Ravens' defense was playing well. That increases the likelihood of them winning even if they lose the coin toss.

And statistically speaking only 52.7% of teams that win the coin toss end up winning the game. This is a lower percentage than the team that plays offense first in NCAAF overtime, despite college football fans claiming that college OT rules are "fairer."

But what do I know. Matt LaFleur said he would've made the same decision as Harbaugh lol.

With a win, Browns would have been in 1st place in the AFC North and 4th seed in the payoffs.

With the loss, they are in last place in the AFC North and 12th place overall - out of the playoffs.

People shit on the Lions, but the Browns have to be the saddest franchise in NFL history.

Even when they're "good" they're still bad.
