I'm a bit of an experienced sailor myself, having been on the North Shields to Amsterdam ferry several times.
Some Pro Tips -
Don't do it in the winter when the sea is rough, I spent 12 hours in me cabin filling it with vomit and begging god just to end it all now.
If you buy a bag of shrooms in the Dam, don't leave until you are going through port before you remember you haven't eaten them yet, then proceed to munch the lot before you get you caught. It makes for a harrowing trip home.
They don't sell em there now. Illegal I think. I couldn't last that long on a ferry unless I was human trafficking or smuggling drugs.

I was smuggling booze, but had it confiscated by North Tyne Port, told me I'd get it back when when we returned, which was a bank holiday and the fucking office was shut. So not only forced to pay the ferry prices but also lost 4 bottles of vodka and 24 cans.
A mate that was with us the trip, was going other specifically to fuck a black woman. After a bit of window shopping he got his wish haha

In the books they always make a point of making him a big dude. Something like 6’4” and 240 Military Police. I really enjoy the few books in the series I’ve read. Based on the trailer it seems they add a little more comedy or goofiness. I hope it’s good.
