General 2026 Harley Davidson Sprint will be priced at $6k

What's worse is that by all accounts, Indians are great bikes. The build series they've been putting on their youtube is pretty good.

Didn't Harley can that Euro faggot they had as CEO that fucked them up so spectacularly and received so much backlash in the last year or so? Anyone that supported that guy in that position, as well as the decisions he was making were monumental morons.

All Harley has to do is stick to its roots and they'll continue to make bank. They keep introducing bullshit their riders don't want or need, nor resonate with what's been their core audience for DECADES.

It's not *that* goddamned difficult.

The new ones I've seen on the road are bad ass. If I rode I'd buy a modern Indian over a Harley no question.
Go to their youtube & check out their build series. The one they're in the middle of now is their baggers. They're cool, but baggers as a whole aren't really my thing. Their Scout build series was badass, though.

And Ola Stenegard - the Swedish dude that's Director of Design at Indian now - seems cool AF.

This is the new CEO - he just *screams* Harley.

According to the article, one of the big problems that last CEO (that Eurofag) had was the EU proposed a 56% tariff on, among other things, US-made motorcycles in 2021 in response to Trump tariffs. And they were afraid of that because the EU is Harley's second biggest market behind North America.

Some very light google-fu says Harley sold roughly 1/4 of the bikes to the entire EU that it did to just the US (much less all of North America).

That was a huge focal point, apparently.

And according to the article, Harley wants to continue to focus on touring bikes, cruisers, and trikes.

So....yeah.

To be fair, he pretty much does these days. I bet accountants and other milquetoast white collar professionals own more Harleys than any other demographic. Hell, some of my IT coworkers watched Sons of Anarchy and decided to buy Harleys.

Too many men these days have no real identity. It's fucking embarrassing.

They’ll never get it done. If their last “entry level” bike was $7500 years ago, how are they going to do it CHEAPER in this economy?? But seriously, why are bikes so expensive? It’s a motor on wheels!
They aren't even good bikes, tbh.
There is a huge Harley dealership near me and every weekend I see the back lot by the service bays absolutely packed in by middle age tubbos that had to trailer them in. All look shiny and new.

I almost bought a Norton in 92. Lots of my friends then were hot rod guys and a couple of them had a warehouse going for a while, built a spray booth, engines on stands in various stages of build,,and tons of random shit.

one of the random pieces of shit laying around in back was that Norton.
My buddy got as part of a trade, said he didn't understand why this bike was a problem when he got it.

Nobody we knew was interested in the bike because the original owner was Huey Newton.

Thing should have been in a Black Pride museum not sitting in the back of a warehouse rented by skaters, lol

Always wondered what happened to that bike

Back in the day indian bikes were a great motorcycle
Once Polaris took over they went to shit
reliability/crome plating/paint are all shit
Polaris make great sleds but their motorcycles/atvs are all under engineered with cheap components

This is partially true. Well, entirely true, however they've gained a reputation for reliable motorcycles. The paint sucks, chrome will peel, but them fuckers all go 100k miles and then some without a hiccup. One guy posted his journey taking his chieftain to damn near 500k until a deer took his bike out.

A person can get a really nice, low mileage used Japanese bike that is a much better bike for that. If history is any indicator this new $6000 HD will be a horrible bike. I've ridden there newer "entry" bikes and they were terrible. The only new HD models I like are their touring bikes and they are way overpriced. My new pickup was priced lower than their CVO Streetglide
