I'm serious. I work with many people who served in Iraq and listen to their stories about them.

Afghans too.

I wouldn't trust info they supplied for an airstrike.

Fuck even recently I was talking to a bloke from Finland who said the Saudis where the worst group he ever had to train. He failed their whole class. They had no desire to learn or do pretty much anything. And they were Saudi military

The regimented groupthink that allows for such successful military machinery is very much absent in much of the world.

It's got its own negatives, but that isn't one of them.

I'm still not seeing 1 in 3
The 1 in 3 comment was in response to this absurd boasting:

"A miscalculation sure but there had been two prior strikes on ISIS targets that did not harm any Iraqi troops."

Leigh @Leigh would rather shit on America than be reasonable or objective most of the time.

I like you, Leigh, but this is the truth.
Incorrect. I think America has flaws but so does the UK. The US do some things better than anyone in the world. Yes I do have some criticisms, one of which being that you military has killed a lot of innocent people. I don't blame the American people.

The whole continent of Europe couldnt slow down Milosevic until the US got involved, tell me again how you dont need our military might.
I admire your optimism - you continually try to take digs at me despite being repeatedly humiliated. You can certainly take a beating, I'll give you that.

Now, do you have anything more than sarcasm, pot stirring and outright making stuff up? If so, please present it because that's all you've tried this week and whilst it's been entertaining to watch you fall flat on your face almost daily, it's a pretty big thread derailer.

I didn't intend to imply that you did. I meant that you like to shit on American foreign policy, not all of America.

Innocent people die in every war. It's terrible that it happens, but it does. It's a part of war, unfortunately.

We also save the lives of vast more innocent people. Ask the Yazidis who were stranded on Mount Sinjar for proof of that.

When you have the world's largest military and conduct the most military operations, it is inevitable that your military will unfortunately kill more innocents than any other country.

You simply can't compare us to any other country because no country comes close to our military might.

As a veteran, maybe conducting so many military operations is part of the issue.

I don't think the US kills more innocent people than any other country. Maybe they do, I don't know. There are African and Middle East regimes that kill thousands of innocent people too.

But your point about conducting the most military operations is one that highlights my issue. Why is the US conducting them? There was no need to invade Iraq and there was no need to invade Vietnam.

I agree with a lot of US policies. I like your gun laws. I think you were right to nuke Japan. I like the Declaration of Independence that protects free speech and freedom of religion. I don't like your president or the one before him but I feel the same way about our last two prime ministers.

I'm sorry, man. Really sorry
It sucks, but these things happen in war unfortunately. And until there's a major shift of the collective subconscious, there's going to be wars. And someone needs to go fight those wars. And I'd rather it be me than my friends and family outside of the military. Most people aren't equipped for that shit, and that's probably a good thing.

How am I making this up or pot stirring? Whatever your continent tried didnt even remotely slow this lunatic down. He wiped out over a million muslims and who knows how many more innocent people and it wasnt untill our warships and planes intervened that he fled and order was restored to the region. Kinda like Hitler imo

I was referring to earlier this week, when a few of us had a reasonable conversation and you jumped in and accused a couple of us of ganging up on a guy, even when he disagreed with you. You've been trying to take shots at me and it's been hilarious.

On this thread, you make sarcastic ad hominems which are just funny. You've become a court jester :)

Leigh @Leigh doesn't pick on things and get emotional when looking at things. I fucking love 'Murica, but she is far from a perfect country and alot the the criticism Leigh @Leigh brings up is fairly accurate.
