I agree his mma wrestling is overrated and even say later in that sentence that his tdd in mma is not great, meaning gsp most likely could take him down (Yoel could get back up though imo)

I just feel that criteria for GOAT should be something like that. Not just win a belt but defend. I guess no one is really GOAT GOAT for my standard. They could be GOAT of their division, but yea. To me, if u want to be the GOAT, you have to defend your championship, at least once.

that's y he's the WW GOAT, but if you want to be GOAT GOAT, you have a new belt, should defend. Don't get me wrong, I don't think anyone is a GOAT GOAT. It's just my 2cents but real GOAT should have domination, overcome adversary, grind out with heart, protect your status, and walk away at the top which is pretty demanding and that's y no one is a true GOAT to me.

I love GSP and believe he is the GOAT but I can't fucking believe that everyone here is hanging off his nuts and think that last night he was better than he's ever been.



Bisbing was known for being durable, having great cardio and thorwimg lots of punches. He is a well rounded fighter not a striking phenom. He may have the most strikes landed but he's had the most fights in the UFC too so that would make sense.

If Georges fights like he did last night against bobby, Yoel, rockhold or Weidman he's getting wrecked.

I never said he looks better than ever. He was more patient in some ways and still has skills.

But Bisping is a striker bro he would have been touching GSP if Georges was prime too.

Gsp would have to fight very smart (something he's best known for) fight but like I said, i can see him winning late or decision.
Yoel would be favored though and rightly so imo
I'd have a play on gsp if that fight happened and he was the dog but you can't tell me there is no way Yoel wins, he has the power to finish that fight imo

I think Yoel is the best fight for GSP at MW, mostly because he's the most 1-dimensional fighter in the Top 3. However, it's tough for GSP to justify fighting anyone but Whittaker. However, Robert's behavior around GSP reminded me of GSP going in to his first fight with Hughes. I would narrowly favor GSP.

GSP cements status as GOAT if he defends the belt against Whittaker in Sydney. Win or Lose, taking that fight makes his status undeniable.

Agree but I feel the status is already cemented. I mean it feels like the goal posts keep inching forward here. He's been in GOAT talks for years, makes an incredible come back and still some people are suggesting he needs to do more. Since the fight my bias is through the roof no doubt but ffs...
