Jim Carrey was an asshole when I met him. It was on the set of Me, Myself, and Irene. There were some railroad scenes they filmed for the movie, and one of my high school buddies father was a railroad commissioner? I don't remember his job title, but they hired him to ensure safety protocols were followed, etc.
Anyway, after filming for the day, everyone sat down for dinner, cast crew, etc. They sat me and my friends (the one buddy invited a few of us) near the end of the table where Jim was sitting at the head of the table. He didn't say a single word to anyone. He had an assistant or something that he'd call over and whisper to. They'd either go get him whatever he asked for or tell someone whatever he wanted them to know. We all said hello, he didn't.
