Crypto is dumping as the Yen becomes the big boy of the week.
They carry-traded and invested in crypto.
Now the returns will not pay back the higher Yen rate.

This is one week I would NOT try to time a "dip" opportunity in crypto.
If the magicians behind the curtains pull some levers and instill confidence...maybe the following week?

Don't really follow crypto too much but I do have some XRP.

I logged onto my account the other day and it has doubled.

The fuck is going on? It's up another 7% today.

Also - Seeing the price of Bitcoin and ETH when this thread was created is insane.

And that's way higher than when I first heard about it over at the OG (RIP).

I never jumped in because I never fully understood it. Still don't. But gawd damn did I leave a lot of money on the table there.

its crazy to look back in this thread and see 2500 dollar BTC and 600 ETH

kinda odd how no one talks about crypto while it is on its way back to the ATH. i heard it said years ago that by the time the media starts talking about a bull run it is already over . the paper hands and bandwagon jumpers will come along and buy in once it hits top dollar again and lose their asses again. the time to buy was last year or the year before when it was under 20k

do you think it will reach the mythical $10? it used to seem much less plausible than it does right now

Who knows? It was on a massive bull run in 2019 and then went from $2 to like 60 cents for a few years.

My opinion on crypto is that you should be buying it the way you do a lottery ticket. Spend extra money on it that you won't miss, decide ahead of time when you want to sell, and don't look back.

that is a good theory . that is how i looked at buying silver as well . only use "extra money" and and be prepared to sit on it for a loooong time. i think a $10 XRP is possible , probable is another story . it has made some huge gains in the last few weeks

My initial $500 or so is probably about $2000 between my XRP and my fraction of Bitcoin. Doesn't seem like much, but that's a fuck of a lot better than my RRSP has done over the last 3 years, lol. I'm holding this crypto until the wheels fall off though. You've got to be up a fuck ton for it to be worth paying the taxes on it.
