What signal strength is Verizon 5g on your phone in your house? If so, how’s it been for you? We’re on Spectrum (and hate it) but just signed up for Verizon. Wireless box is coming Tuesday.
Their customer service is trash, but that's standard for the industry. I have fiber with two complimentary hotspots. Thinking about switching to Comcast to tie in mobile lines and save a ton of money. I don't find fiber worth the upcharge. 400 MB down is good enough imo.
I hope it does too because Spectrum is the scum of the earth. We're getting 32mbs down and 9mbs up here for their 'high speed' internet, and have been paying out the ass for it for years because they were the only game in town for us. Now that Verizon is an option, I'm out. Surely to God I can get better than 32mbs down & 9mbs up with Verizon, without having to deal w/ Spectrums constant outages & shit ass customer service.I tried it last fall, it didn't work worth a shit for me, so I took it back. I wanted it to work, too, because I hate spectrum. To be fair, this was a few weeks after Helene rolled through, so Verizon's network might have been saturated. The hotspot on my cell phone was more reliable than the Verizon 5G. It kept dropping teams calls, even with the video off.
I know people in my area that have it and love it, though. My house may not be in a great spot for Verizon's network, too. I don't have then as a carrier and the carrier I use does not traverse their networks.
I hope it works out for you, because fuck spectrum.
We dont have Verizon phone service. ATT for me (thru work) and T-Mobile for my wife & daughter. I only went with Verizon because I am fed the fuck up with Spectrum, and my next door neighbor went w/ Verizon internet and has had good luck with it.What signal strength is Verizon 5g on your phone in your house?
Do a speed test on your Verizon phone and see if you get the advertised speeds.
Haven't looked into it but I will if Verizon doesn't work out.How about Starlink?

Nice. I will check it out.My speeds through starlink are amazing, it's 120 a month and you have to buy the equipment, but they are offering great discounts right now.
Nice. I will check it out.
We tried that years ago with Suddenlink. They basically told us to pound sand. I agree the whole industry is a grift.Make sure you tell them you're actually leaving so they send you to customer retention. The agents you speak to before that won't budge.
We're past that point. I'm just leaving lol.Make sure you tell them you're actually leaving so they send you to customer retention. The agents you speak to before that won't budge.
With those speeds I don't blame you. Are you in bum fuck nowhere county? We're past that point. I'm just leaving lol.
No. I'm in a subdivision in a town of 7k people that's 8 miles from downtown Louisville. Spectrum are just crooks. And it might be different if we didn't lose service for a couple hours at a time at least once a week. With those speeds I don't blame you. Are you in bum fuck nowhere county?

That's really surprising. Spectrum bought out Road Runner/Brighthouse in Orlando and they were decent enough. When they added mobile service I was able to bundle everything and save a lot of money.No. I'm in a subdivision in a town of 7k people that's 8 miles from downtown Louisville. It’s a running joke around here. “When are we going to lose internet today boys?”That's really surprising. Spectrum bought out Road Runner/Brighthouse in Orlando and they were decent enough. When they added mobile service I was able to bundle everything and save a lot of money.
