Nibbling on a cheese platter, ice cold bottle of wine, couple of pills, laying in the bed with my dog and Twitter to keep me entertained.

I like many cannot be around others.
I have one friend I can watch with, and only because he knows fighting, and knows I know more and reveres my opinion.
Bars are usually terrible, sometimes you get lucky and find a guy knowledgeable, and that guy is generally quiet and attentive.

Now, I enjoy a bourbon a scotch, a beer(all x 10), and chatting with you guys at home.

If I had a broad at home to ravish afterward life would be complete.

My dad used to watch football (soccer) on TV and I would ask why he never went to games (although he did play in a Sunday league). He told me it was cold and miserable at a football stadium and the he preferred the perfect view from the sofa.

I'm similar with MMA. Going to a UFC, especially in the dark era, was amazing but after a couple I'd rather not pay £200 to sit miles from the cage on a plastic seat and deal with crowds. Because of the time difference, I usually watch the events on Sunday morning. Go to a mates house, have a fry up breakfast and watch on HD replay, so we can skip the boring fights and rewind cool ones.

With my best friend it's great because he has a much more technical knowledge than I do but I know 10x as much as about the fighter's background than he does. We basically end up doing our own casual version of Anik and Stann. Occasionally it freaks other friends out.

Good tune.

I miss watching with my buddy Mike when we both lived in Vegas. We'd watch at Firkin, a pub across the street from the HRH and there'd always be a fighter or two in there hanging out and watching with us. If it was fight night, it was fight night, all tvs on and everyone in on it, energy was great and crowd was cool, bartenders all new us and we had such a great time.

After he moved back to Jersey, I'd occasionally go to BWW since there was one walking distance from my house there and since I liked watching prelims, wasn't hard to find a seat. Prob half the time I was alone, other times a friend would join. But again, it was all hands on deck for fight nights there, sound and all major screens were given over to UFC events and it was a good time.

I do like watching at home and participating in the live events but my overall life is so solitary anymore I just would rather be out having a good time with other humans than sitting at home alone, again. Boo hoo Wahhhh haha

I'm like OP. I prefer to be completely alone when watching fights so I am not distracted by morons, having to entertain them etc. There's a few people I like to watch with, girlfriend, couple friends who train but that's it. To be honest though most of them don't watch anymore lol. So I'm usually alone.

Used to have like 10+ people over every weekend to watch fights. No one cares anymore haha.

When it comes to real big fights, let's say Floyd vs Manny for example.. my ideal situation would have been to be completely alone, but I had friends over and I felt it distracted me from the fight. When it's really high stakes and a big time fight, I like to just be in the dark, with my vaporizer, eyes inches away from the screen lol. Total loner shit

I have to be by myself anymore, particularly with FUC fights. My situation is probably different than most as i moved over to England and you don't drink and drive if you've had more than one beer and nobody I know watches the American sports I like.

This way, I'm judge, jury and executioner
It's also unlikely that any of your mates will stop up until 6 am to watch mma. My boys will for big boxing fights like Mayweather/pac but not mma lol.
