I really like the culture we have established here...it's what made that other place special at one time. Brotherhood, just friends shooting the shit, and if a brother falls on hard times - the community steps up to help out. I really appreciate everyone that has joined in the discussions so far, because I get the impression that these are the type of people we have here.

So it's Feb 28th at the USF Sun Dome, doors open 8am and matches start 9am. This is Gi only, it's the Gi equivalent of the ADCC National Pro. The event name is UAEJJF US NATIONAL PRO JIU-JITSU CHAMPIONSHIP

My division will be the the 95kg which is 209lbs just because I have to weigh in with the Gi on and don't want to cut down to 180 to make 187 with my Gi on. If I place in my division I will be invited to the openweight division. If I win the open weight I win $500 and an all inclusive round trip to the UAEJJF World Championship in the United Arab Emirates.


Just an update, I trained tonight in the Gi and I'm not trying to brag, but I'm ready for this. I'm a purple belt and wiped the mats with everyone who wasn't a black belt. I can win this entire thing, I have an unorthodox style that relies heavily on wrestling and pressure, and then on the bottom I'm a rubber guard guy. Best of both worlds.
