Haha I remember thinking before hand, " Houston is going to knock this guy dead." Then the fight starts and Houston just circles and throws seemingly half assed leg kicks. Was a very odd fight. Especially after seeing what Houston did to Keith Jardine.
I liked him too and was so depressing when his limitations were so badly exposed during his run in the UFC.

especially when Thiago Silva dominated him :(

Jardine had just beaten Griffin by KO and then was the opponent chosen for Houston's debut ... don't think he was expected to win but made it look like Jardine was the one that didn't belong. Can't believe Jardine then followed that up by beating Liddell :D

funny ol' business the fight game

it sucks that this is being called a work before it even happens.the books are just trying to cover their asses in case dada gets a fluke ko

and closing the betting once money starts coming in on Dada is a good thing in that situation?

I don't really understand the finer details of what bookies do

dada is/was a pretty big dog in a fight with little skill and a lot of power.kimbo should win but could get aldoed/petrizellied again.if that happens the bookies take a huge hit so they want to shut it down and limit potential losses

and does Dada definitely have power btw?

I've seen him as a referee but not as a fighter

compared to a serious mma fighter probably not as he has crap technique but he still has enuf to shut off kimbos lights if it goes down just right. dada is actually pretty sad he is 2-0 vs 2 guys with a combined record of 1-16

This fight started at +360? Are you kidding me? This guy has no chance. Also, I was figuring this would start at +1000 and even that was low in my estimation, but I was going to drop £10 just for fun at those odds......but 360? what kind of monkeys make these odds up? What a bunch of fools.
For reference, didn't holm (a person who was a boxing champ, not a street fighting tool who slap punches) start at +1000?

You guys just made me discover Joey Oddessa's twitter -- Oddessa (most of you probably already know) used to be the origin of the majority of the lines for fights, as he hung the offshore lines for The Greek & The Sportsbook (TQN will remember that one, he sponsored Lindland and other fighters back then through that site). I just started reading.

A team of four guys maxing out limits as a team is either a fix, or some idiots (maybe drug dealers) trying to feel like they're mafiosos, burning up easy-come (meaning drug) money. Good chance offshore books/crooks will know which within 24 hours.

Vegas will probably know even faster than that. If those guys are at a hotel, the casinos will figure out who they are and what their deal is. Then the news will go offshore. Just a likely scenario.

It's normal for the books to stop writing bets if there's a chance there could be crooked action.

$80,000 (20 trips x 4 guys x $1000) bet as a team isn't some rich guy on a lark.

im cheap so i only bet 2 bucks .it was supposed to be a long shot and i figured i was probably just throwing away my money
Good for you, i do that with horse racing. If you aren't 25-1 or higher when i go to the track then you don't even get a look.

The site I use is taking bets on every main card fight bar the Kimbo vs Dada one, this is definitely sketchy.

Anybody got a good site for mma betting btw? I've 2 sites that I would go between but one doesnt have any of these bellator fights whatsoever and the other one only has the option to bet on fight winner. I prefer to bet on rounds or fight outcomes, tko, decision etc.

5dimes, Pinnacle and Oly/The Greek are the industry standard. The thing run into with some sites offshore is difficulty cashing out. They will make you send them driver's license (you don't have to do that to deposit, only to cash out), put other hurdles etc. in your way. Off shore is not legit like Vegas -- off shore people are off shore because they need to be off shore. Good idea to research sites in detail before depositing. The three I mentioned are dependable, though.

his 1st fight he got dropped and mounted and as the guy was dropping GnP the ref stood it up, everyone in attendance questioned the stand up the other guy gassing looking at ref was hit and knocked down. 2nd fight he beat a guy whose record stands at 1-10. He doesnt have technique he just flaps like a bad game of patty cake hoping something lands.

Zero chance this is a work.

Dada has significant size on Kimbo and that could be the reason.

But if you watch the media in the lead up, the pre-fight presser etc. there's just no way the animosity isn't too real for either of them to take a dive, especially Slice.

Unless they're trying to set something up between themselves. Coker would never risk his reputation like that.

What did that pay out? teamquestnorth @teamquestnorth and I had a conversation the day before or the day of the fight that made me want to dump a ridiculous amount of money on her. I just don't know where to do that kinda stuff. :(
