BJ Penn is not giving up just yet.

The UFC is currently targeting Penn vs. Ricardo Lamas as the main event of UFN Fight Night 97, which is scheduled to take place at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Manila, Phillipines on Oct. 15. The fight would take place in the featherweight division.

This event will mark the UFC's second in the Phillipines. UFN 66, also held in Manila, was headlined by Urijah Faber vs. Frankie Edgar in May 2015.

Tough fight for B.J. I don't think he has a chance unless Jackson really got into his head and got him training hard. Lamas all day if not.

Lamas wins that fight, imo they should've re-booked the Siver fight that fight is more evenly matched.

You have a younger, hungrier fighter in his path now........not a good return fight and don't see where/how lamas loses....
I see BJ boxing Lamas up. Do people forget how good BJ is on his feet, because he lost to guys like Nick Diaz, Rory Mac, and Frankie Edgar when he was hardly training? BJ is a savage when his heads in it, and I think Jackson will have him ready.

Disclosure: I am not prepared to be let down again

I know hardcore BJ fans have always suffered from it more than others but honestly this level of delusion is bordering on a serious mental illness.

I love Bj but man this is one fight too many. He's had a great wonderful career and I can't blame him for not wanting to stop but he has to.
I think Lamas Tko's him. This would be a great confidence booster for lamas, sense he beat deigo and perhaps bj.
