you gotta be pretty fucking high to do a fun run in a chicken suit.
Dingbat. That is not always the case.
I would argue the prem league is tougher than the international game from a competition point of view
Pro cycling is MUCH harder at the team level than international level.
Interesting, will they let him wear his red scrum cap I wonder.
Hes a unit anyway, like Jimmy said he wouldn't be representing London Shootfighters if he wasn't the part on the mats as well.
Will watch his debut anyway, Bellator have a few cans to feed him.
The part I'm most surprised about is that he's only 34 years old
I expect him to get a lot of good wins just keeping his chin tucked and putting guys on their back.
can he fight
lol point taken but it was fun to write that stuff out
That is Denis Cyplenkov. He holds the world record in the strict curl it is a arm wrestling champ.
Dennis is an animal man, he smoked Laratt last year but yes
What does that have to do with anything?
I just like calling insanely muscled strong dudes...beach muscle
My new Yard Guy is freaking weird, should I bust him up?
Most top international players look 50 when they are in their 20s, try playing some rugby, you'll see why.
Might be off set by all the water of life you drink in your spare time though.
Possible, not a lot of heavyweights in Bellator with much ground game off their backs, that I have seen anyway.
He has a lot of miles on the clock and has been concussed more than once during his career though, any heavyweight can test your chin.
Like I said will be interesting, the rugby player we saw in the UFC cage has been looking very good to me, and I don't mean Cathal Pendred.
Volkonovski played 7s though, Haskill played the real game, to the highest level.
Volk also got into MMA early.
I will watch anyway, good stuff Bellator.
Most of Bellator's big signees were born before 1973
Some how I forgot this fact.
By all means continue
Truth. Alun Wyn Jones, Paul O'Connel and Dan Cole are my stand outs for this
Jones has looked over 40 for the last 15 years, that man is a legend, even if he is a bastard, out standing player, always puts his body on the line, never stops.
Every front row in the game looks 10 years older than they are, fuckers are born in their 30s.
Sincere question here...
Is this actually a big deal? Do people give a damn about the guy?
If he proves he can fight then that's cool but unless he's actually a big deal in Europe I have no more interest in him than I have in any other completely random 0-0 heavyweight.
It feels like a publicity signing.... Famous rugby star, it may go a long way in the UK and EU, but not much clout here in the States. The HW division is the strangest in MMA, because you can develop in 3 years of MMA training the ability to hover around the top 15 (if you're athletic and learn how to throw a punch), this guy may do well, he's young enough for HW and looks to be a tough guy.
Still better than the UFC signing Greg Hardy IMO.
