simple formula? what happened to the marketing system?

My point is that he's not well-known and has a fight booked with Cerrone, who's well known among the casuals, hardcore, JRE fans, etc.

Unless you're part of the UFC circle (fightpass subscribers), who knows about this guy?
How do you market someone better than giving him a fight against a well known and established fighter? Then in the build-up you can promote him and introduce him to the fans who don't pay as much attention to the prelims/early main card where he's fought so far.

Till has 4 UFC fights. He's undefeated and he's an exciting guy. How do you propose they promote him aside from what they're currently doing?

Idk, but other upcomers I've heard of them without having to go out of my way to look them up.
Maybe he needed a lesser name I just think Cerrone is too big of a name to jump from fighting nobody. Rick story? Matt Brown? The other Cowboy? Even Cerrone never heard of the guy but then again, I realized lot of ppl left the UFC and theres nobody around and Cerrone might be the best fit to play this role in the WW.
I did look him up cuz of u and he's undedeated 15 fights in, pretty impressive but against nobodies. 9 Ko is impressive.
Fine, I'll watch this fucker fight.

Check the skills, not the record. He's raw and it's a really tough matchup for him, but he's definitely on his way up to contendership.

I think the UFC would benefit from doing things like this from time to time. Till is a great prospect, he speaks well (including being fluent in Portugese), and he's a martial artist through and through. Cowboy just lost and there's not a real defined role for him in the division right now. This fight could cause fireworks, and Till needs to fight a name eventually if the UFC want people to know who he is. It's a bummer, but let's face it even you're proof that nobody will care unless he fights someone everyone's heard of.

only the guy in the third gif didn't lead with the right like an idiot though.

Conor was really impressive with this slip-counter left pattern. I always laughed at how all the wannabe so called striking "experts" created a narrative where he had a revolutionary game based on those bullshit kicks he throws. Conor always relied on boxing fundamentals.

ok. you got me. I saw his fights and I like the guy. Till kind of fights like Conor, but more pressure, a lot more fast paced. The fight with Cerrone will be awesome, although curious about how he'll handle Cerrone's grappling, he seems to chase guys down to the ground and Cerrone's guard is pretty good.
I'd like to see him fight Thompson in the future. They should make that if he beats Cerrone.

Absolutely, man. He bounces a lot and explodes. He's got some skills on the ground, but like you said I think if he jumps in on him it can cause problems. I think he CAN beat Cowboy, but I don't know if he will.

Cool that you checked him out btw. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

I just think it's 2-3 fights early for Till here. I expect the experience of Cerrone to show out in this one, but Till has a really bright future.
