saying china is not bad does not mean I don’t like the US

People are not living under oppression there. That’s US media telling you that. I felt just as free in different ways

They 100% are. They are an interesting and confounding source. At times their journalism is absolutely top notch impeccably cited articles. They often talk about persecution of Christians and pro western students.

But they're an arm of a fucking cult.
Its really hard to get around that fact.

I used to check them out fairly regularly until they made the paid premium membership. At that point basically every article they had required the paid membership to read. That's when I found out about them stealing articles from other sources. I'd just do an internet search for any article I wanted to read and sure as shit I'd find 90% of them elsewhere published a day or two prior. Now only some of their content is for premium members, so I"m guessing they got busted for attempting to make money off other others' work. I have far better websites I like for information, but today was slow at the office and so I checked them out along with a few other sites that aren't part of my daily browsing.
 
My take away after several years is that they are anti Chinese government, not pro western values per se. They put on the pro west face to keep pressure on China. They have a niche that must make the cult money and irritates China or it wouldn't exist like this.

I find their stuff interesting at times but I don't trust it simply because I know the source.
