Once they get a couple inches big, you should plant them in a pot of soil. As you run low and buy new ones you can plant them with the rest or every few months replace them in a large pot (on covered deck) or a few small window sill planters and you will have ones that will always be fresh and in stock.Earlier in this thread I posted that you should always put your green onion roots in a cup in the windowsill. they can be regrown two or three times before they start to lose flavor.
The short ones are what they look like after cutting off their tops for cooking. Then I put the roots in the water.
The long ones are Only 10 days old.
You save the bones for broths and soups?I didn’t really push myself today. A chicken roast dinner is pretty normal for a Brit
You are onto something. I always freeze seafood shells and fish carcasses to make fish stock for a risotto but never think about bones with poultry. I'm not fussy but maybe they make me a bit icky, I always order boneless wings if I'm in a wings bar watching football. You save the bones for broths and soups?
We will buy a few hens at a time. I will split a few of them in half. The bones from a half hen will make some great ramen broth. A whole hen carcass will make some good soup.
You can make the broth taste just like ichiban instant noodles if you want. You are onto something. Bone broth is so good for you too. I'll save this carcass, making your own is loads better than buying a mass produced Knorr stock cube I'm sure.
I don’t know about poultry seasoning? You can make the broth taste just like ichiban instant noodles if you want.

That arm one looks badI love cooking scars. The hand one isn’t bad and the arm burn isn’t as bad as is looks

I'm normally a bit of a baby with burns but neither are that bad. I normally leg it to a tap but not that bad. First burns I had since a Thai monk scribbled on the other side of my arm, maybe his blessing was more than just Buddhist stuff It smarted a tad but it's absolutely no issue now. That arm one looks bad
