He caught lightening in a bottle thanks to Anderson fucking around and getting caught, and then breaking his leg in the rematch. Hard to duplicate that.

He disgusted me with the Mousasi fight acting and then topped it with the double eye poke combo against Bruno Silva(should have been a DQ loss, no idea how it wasn't).

I don't want to see that stuff anymore

Hope he enjoys retirement

After listening to that interview, it seems to me that they said either you retire or we cut you. So he "retired" from the UFC.

I expect him to fight again elsewhere.

He will almost certainly show up in a few other orgs with some half-assed appearances in the future, and he's earned it. His name will absolutely still draw in other countries and other promotions.

Hell, I bet he'll be the Global Fight League Manager for New York. Ray Longo is the coach, so it makes sense.
