The mma media is not just two english-speaking people. Ariel and Iole are not always my favorite people, but I think they are being picked on unfairly here because they're easy targets right now.
Ariel has finally started covering Bellator more, but he said a long time ago that just covering the UFC was a full time job for him and he didn't want to cover Bellator. He doesn't speak Spanish, which slows covering Combate down for him even more. I don't think it's fair to say he personally should do it. He works for a larger organization, and you can complain to them.
The thing is, the "media" does cover Combate because I see tweets and articles, which is how I know that Castillo and Peña did some kind of tryout commentary and Kyra Batara missed weight.
Imo, if you want English-language media to run your stuff, make sure you send English-language press-releases to the up-and-comers with permission to run as-is. They are trying to get people to write for them for free, so you would be sending them free content. A lot of times they don't even fact check press releases - I saw one from another org once where the PR person had gotten someone's last name completely wrong (Diaz instead of Rodriguez), and it was run by at least two different outlets that way.
