He actually was. He was always just an inch away from catching him. A few adjustments and I feel he can put away Diaz.
I figure a full camp of him training for the right guy and not doing dumb shit during fight week and we'll see how much better of a fighter Conor really is.

I think conor had success in the first eight minutes because he was going all out while nate held back.

Thats why he gassed and if he fights next time with his mind on pacing himself, he wont be able to recreate his successes from last fight.

Plus, nate wont have to ease into the fight this time. His pace will be at top level ready to go high energy for the entire fight.

The thing that is worse than losing, is not knowing why you lost.

You all laughed at Bisping when he said he would win the rematch... Lets see what happens come fight night.

Honestly, I could see Diaz getting picked apart. I could also see a repeat of the first fight...

People count McGregor out but don't realize how much he could improve on from that first fight.

Their biggest reason is because Diaz didn't have a fight camp and will be much better this time around. Maybe he will be.. But tbh I don't think diaz will perform any different than he did in the first fight.

tough to predict what will happen. The rational (and likely) outcome is Diaz wins again just because of how the first fight played out, and he can win via TKO, Submission, or decision depending on how the fight goes... but I will predict that the superstar McGregor will be coming in with an enormous chip on his shoulder causing him to be on his A-game and finish the fight before the end of the 3rd round. Does Conor get nervous? He says he doesn't but after their first fight he may feel differently coming into this one. if he can battle the nerves when he steps into the octagon and start off comfortable he has a good enough chance to win.

I am expecting Conor to perform better than he did in the first fight, but still not sure if he'll be able to pull it off. Conor was pretty fresh from a 13 second knockout of a guy who hadn't been beaten in a decade, and I think he went in with the mentality of being invinsible.

He learned the hard way and he seems to be taking his chance at redemption seriously. There's also a blueprint to beat Diaz (see the Bendo and RDA fights as prime examples of this - both guys were also similar in sieze to Conor), and I'm sure Conor and his men are planning to fight with that in mind this time.

Still, Nate's shown that he can take shots and still perform at his best. He's great on the ground, on the feet and has the length advantage.

It's going to be an intruiging rematch.
