Of course they'll make this fight...it'll be the highest selling UFC PPV to date.

We get a rematch from McG for his first title defense?

Atleast he's finally going to defend his belt... but will Diaz take the deal that they give him?

I doubt this fight will happen. At least not this year. It's gonna be hard for the UFC to give these guys their asking prices, even tho they are worth it.

Yeah its going to be hard to negotiate this fight conor just made fuck you money and can pretty much do whatever he wants for the rest of his life and nate wont be fighting for peanuts.i would love to see this be the main event for the year end ppv but good luck signing these guys to a contract without breaking the bank

I don't see conor fighting for about 2.5% to 5% of his last payday, this fight is gonna be a bitch to negotiate.
Nate made about 2 million last time around let's say he wants about 5 million his next fight with conor.
Than you've got conor i don't see him fighting for less then 10 to 20 million upfront.

Good luck with that, i actually think i'm being conservative with the amounts.

Nate will accept whatever he made in the last fight. He might ask for a little more because he knows the UFC really wants to make the fight, but the bottom line is that Nate won't get anywhere close to what he made in the second Conor fight against any other fighter in the world.

Ffs the guy was offered an interim title fight and refused. He's clearly in it for this last fight with Conor and then he'll probably call it a career.

As for Conor, I don't think he has any illusions about making anywhere near what he made for his boxing match with Floyd. I think as long as he gets an increase over the last Diaz fight (because, let's face it, rubber matches likely sell even better than rematches).

I should be getting paid for all this knowledge I drop.

I think this fight makes more sense than some are saying.

Firstly, Tony and Kevin are fighting in October for the interim title. The UFC right now, in my opinion, needs to maximize profits without hurting the legitimacy of their titles. This is a way to do that, because since Tony and Kevin are fighting in October and Khabib is seemingly on the shelf until he can show that he can make it to fight night, having Conor fight Nate in December gets the biggest PPV the UFC can make in at a time where Conor wouldn't have any more deserving contenders ready to fight anyway. This ensures that you get Conor vs Nate for the belt, and most importantly to the purists it does so in a manner that doesn't screw over one of the main contenders.

One question I have is why people are asking how Nate deserves a title shot, but they aren't asking why Lee deserves an interim title shot. I think this is telling, and it shows a bit of the bitterness (justified or not) that some people have towards the way that Conor has been booked. The fact of the matter is that the UFC and Conor want the Nate fight next, and this is the absolute best time to do it for a multitude of reasons. Firstly, as I laid out above it slides it in during a time where nobody else will be available, but most importantly imo is the fact that they want to capitalize off of the momentum from May-Mac, and Conor and Diaz always provide drama outside of the cage and fireworks inside of it. This is a best case scenario where everybody gets what they want, provided Conor defends against the top contender in his first fight after Nate. I honestly think people should be happy with this booking if it happens.

Kavanagh was saying that they're looking at a St. Paddy's Day tilt at MSG for the end of the trilogy... Obviously this kills all talks of a December fight, and I don't see Conor or Nate fighting anyone else before then.
