“sexually assaulted her, and in effect, raped her”

See that "and in effect" raped her?

Sounds to me like she wanted sex with him and now wants to collect.

Could be wrong, but there is no need for that "and in effect" to be in there lol - if he raped you there is no "he in effect raped me" about it lol!!!
