Homegirl knows exactly what she is doing. As long as people keep talking about her she will get more votes and power. She and all the others in power see that this whole thing is a shit show which is why they only where mask for public appearances half the time and go on vacations while telling everyone else to stay home.

AOC deserves plenty of criticism for her hypocrisy and definitely in this case for going to that event at a bar.

But I have to side with her on the weirdo who criticized her boyfriend's pale feet. It's a very strange thing to point out plus everyone in FL wears sandals pretty much everywhere.

People should be congratulating that pale ginger for batting way out of his league so successfully.

I have COVID. I've had two shots of the Oxford vaccine and a Moderna booster. I'm also in pretty good shape with low body fat and low resting heart rate.

I wouldn't even know I have it. I took a routine lateral flow test and it came back positive. So I had a PCR and it was also positive. I have to isolate until next Monday but I can get out early if I have two negative tests for Friday.
What was worse. How you felt after your vaccines, or covid?

Probably vaccines. After the first shot, I felt rough for 24 hours. Second shot, I was rough for about an hour. Moderna booster gave me a sore arm but nothing else.

I wouldn't know I have covid. I feel fine, maybe a tickley throat. Not even a cold.

DENIER!

To the tower with you!

Yeah. Covid is done now. Hopefully we can claw back our freedoms.

We won. You'd think folk would be happy.

Average age of the people who die here with covid is 82. Average life expectancy here is 80....

The percentage of people who have died of just covid is 18%. But the kicker is we don't know if those 18% were over 90 years old....

Yet it still leads the news every night.

I know 8 people with covid right now. 9 including you. My sister was a bit crook for 24 hours but everyone else is presenting with mild head aches.

Thanks to the vaccines and omicron it's over.

Yeah. I think that's about right.

A guy said to me 2 years ago we'll have to fight to get our freedoms back.

I laughed. I said he was a nut.

But here we are.
we still dont have our freedoms back after 9/11

Also an update from Texas.
I think I've had one patient in the hospital with coronavirus before this month following our surge back in September. I think I've had a couple out in clinic.

Today alone I put two patients in the hospital and six positive at the clinic. Clinic patients are all young and one elderly. Nobody had very severe disease. Lots of complaints about throats burning. Lots of 101 temps and general body aches but not as severe as flu.

The elderly person at clinic was vaccinated and boosted. The two people in the hospital are both unvaccinated as is typical.

It's a noticable uptick. There's been a smattering of new cases over the last 10 to 14 days. But this is definitely up. Could be following Christmas because people were gathering and now they're showing symptoms. Could also be that they're all just coming in to sneak in before the upcoming weekend and this is the same smattering that's been going on for weeks. All come together on one day. Still that doesn't explain the hospitalizations. Will be interesting to see what happens during the next week or two

Alright today is shit.
Just running a damn COVID clinic here. Exhausting and totally ruins the workflow.
Positives all over the place. Everybody's sick but luckily pretty mild disease. Lots and lots of sore throat and body aches. Most look like flu patients in severity of illness. Just achy and not feeling well but not toxic. Still having loss of taste and smell for a lot of them.

I've only got two in the hospital but found out one of my patients died in the neighboring hospital yesterday from COVID.

It looks like the omicron wave in upswing. Hopefully it continues to have the ratio that I'm seeing. Where not too many percentages are ending up in the hospital. I used to be admitting people left and right if I was to seeing this many cases. But not so right now.
