stopped by specialist to renew a prescription, just getting it done before the shutdown.

no one was wearing a mask, but the nurses/MAs all said 'Thank you for masking up'.
Had a short conversation with the doctor and MA, but was surprised that they were having people come in for annual check-ins for 'script renewal. I think they'll be changing that.
how strict is your shut down there?

I am southern willamette valley and it is pretty normal other than schools

Does it not seem weird or occur to you that about once a decade, sometimes more since the 80's big corporate companies get hundreds and hundreds of billions of taxpayer cash?

There is always something.

Then we have to spend the next 8 or nine years in recession or austerity yet the debt continues to grow.

Has that penny not dropped for you yet?
It's irritating that they are allowed to operate without a safety net. Once a company gets too big to fail because it employs so many people and effects so many other sectors, there should be rigid guidelines that they have to adhere to. I don't know what that would look like, but the answer shouldn't always be taxpayer dollars if shit hits the fan.

This is a little different than the auto industry as the airlines have actually been doing quite well lately. It's also different as the pain they are about to go through wasn't self-inflicted.

Appreciate it a lot!

i stock up about month worth of stuff, (habit from the military) so we’re actually good.

i have access to military commissary at the Moffet field so same offer to you and your fam~ I think it’s less hectic there cuz only retired/active duty can shop there
It's only husband and I to worry about and we'll be fine I'm sure. I just want people to start being kind to one another. I'm sure there is enough to go around if we're sensible. Thanks for the offer back, fella face but really don't hesitate if we are in more drastic times than we're currently anticipating.
