I saw the wet market videos...I can't get those images out of my head and I have seen a lot of dead animals
100% Wet markets are a mess and the people insisting on eating live animals is so fucked up I am still coming to grips with

I agree with you but just so we all have some vernacular down, That area of Asia differentiates wet markets from live markets... There's another term they use but it's slipping for my brain right now. anyways I know you know what you're talking about and we're talking about the same thing here. But if you see people from China or elsewhere referring to wet markets, they don't always mean a live market. Hong Kong and elsewhere also have wet markets And it's a word that comes mostly from the fresh meat of everything being on ice and melting and making the floors wet.
Doesn't change your point. Just I think it's important as we get past this to not assume that every wet market looks like that crazy stuff going on in Wuhan

Remdesivir study shows positive news; FDA reportedly will approve soon - CNN

Emergency authorization being given.
Peer-reviewed results completely released next month.
Study shows statistically powered and significant improvement, including very sick patients.
Results released so far do not show a significant improvement in mortality.

Cautious optimism. There has not been a peer-reviewed journal publication yet. data release so far does not show mortality improvement, Only stops disease progression and speeds up recovery. If you're going to die from covid you might die anyway.

larger better-powered studies might show immortality improvement as well but that isn't in the data so far.
seems like good news

Hope it isn't just a push for a profitable big pharma treatment

Why the breathing exercises & proning?

Why Oxygen > intubation?
Exercise your lungs. The optimum scenario is that you beat it on your own. Proning causes you to use less damaged area of the lungs to breathe.

Prolonged Intubation itself can wind up killing you, or worse.....

This virus causes blood clots, also, which can cause strokes. We often miss this if you're intubated.

I am all for open air meat markets. I have/had no idea what a "wet market" meant.

I don't know much at all about what is going on in other countries food wise so I am quite uneducated in that.

I just saw some videos from the guy who started this thread and they were disturbing to say the least, that is all I know...some dude was eating live rats or mice for fun...blew my mind.

You should tag me in these. Guess how many of my patients got Pepcid today? Lol

I was encouraged to know that at least someone here is reading the data.

@Splinty can I use hydrogen peroxide for disinfecting? I read it will kill virus in 1 min.
no. technically yes but no. you need peroxide to be of a high enough percentage to kill viruses. peroxide degrades over time and you have no idea how much percentage of peroxide is in your bottle even if it is new. most commercial cleaning products containing peroxide are around 10%. the shit you can buy at the drug store is 3% at best. you could buy 29% at a health food store but it is like 30 bucks a gallon and bleach is 3 bucks and will kill everything. i wouldnt bother trying to use peroxide as a sanitizer . alcohol and bleach are much cheaper

I buy 25% H202
The lady dilutes it to sterilize our micro green seeds and even for watering

Plants love a lil H202 because it gets oxygen to the roots and enables better nutrient absorption and uptake.
Rainwater has a lil H202 in it, that is why plants prefer some rainwater to well water or city system water.

PS I just hooped a bleach soaked tampon and it feels rather exhilarating...will report with further results

What I read is 3% will kill in 1 min. Just want to use on door handles. Bleach seems scary to use on knobs.

I would not advice that

5-6% can burn the shit out of you

25% might go right thru to flesh in seconds

3% is what comes in brown bottles at most stores

1% is what we use for plants and it still fuzzes on any new flesh wounds I have on my hands

I think it can eat thru a lot of stuff at high enough concentration...I make her use much caution with handling it

Don't fuck with chemistry brothers

it doesnt hurt you. we used to get new guys with it at work to pop their cherry. it burns like a son of a bitch for 20 mins and your skin turns white but it comes back with zero damage .it looks bad and people think they are dying but peroxide is just water with an extra oxygen molecule .i have had 33% on me dozens of times
