In the beginning I was on Cowboy's side, but as I read more into it, it definitely seems like Cowboy was just out for himself and was never really part of the team atmosphere anyway.
Look at it in context, he was pulling away as the culture of the gym was changing. It sounds like this has been going on for years so it's not like he said fuck you to everyone and just never showed up. He built the BMF Ranch so he could get away from the culture that has been brewing for quite some time. At least that's how I took it. This was just the straw that broke the camels back.

Nah. Most people are cunts. I usually expect very little from them. Being violently knocked out on tv seems way worse to me.
That’s a very good point.

Perry has grown on me as of late with his willingness to go to the spa with Till, but I’ll be rooting for the Cowboy on this one.

Yeah, he seems to be all about Cowboy and not about the team, much like Overeem was reported to be with the Blackzillians.

Interesting listen. I don't have time to follow this stuff closely, not even hometown situations, but the fact that
it is/was home makes it engaging. What surprised me was how both Jackson/Wink facilities are smaller than
what I'd have thought. Cowboy talks about living in a closet, and that's about all the room there is at the main joint
downtown where the "chiropractor" and dorms are. Elite OSM has a nice setup , but the gym and everything else
seems cramped. Which has nothing to do with the interview, which is "informative " . Now I understand what he's
saying about the wrestling coach who works at OSM ; maybe I met him there (OSM) on one visit. Well, there's my
cue again: anybody in the area needs work, OSM is the place to go (no drugs or surgery, just all kinds of great stuff
that works great on stuff that doesn't need drugs or surgery (see what I did there !). I do the therapy "homework"
those folks showed me every day and it keeps my old ass going , I swear !

ps : hell no way I'd ever go there to "train" . I hated wrestling and I'm not a fighter. Oh yeah,
and I'm an ancient relic compared to most of you. That shit would put me in the hospital !!!
I bounced up off a concrete floor the other day after a big slip and fall , and didn't get hurt
(mini-whiplash, visit to chiro here in Hooterville) , so I'm a tough old bastard, but I'm not stupid

WE will now return you to your regular programming...
When he was talking about living in the closet, he's talking about the old gym.. they bought a new place and it's an old ATF(I think) building with the dorms upstairs, its actually pretty cool.. the training area is actually really small though.

Exactly. This is chickens coming home to roost for all the people who watched this go down when Rashad got booted for Jones. Jackson/Wink has always been about the money.
The Rashad thing was a little different though. I feel those two guys were basically saying, "It's me or him" and Jackson went with the younger, better guy.

Yeah well I don't remember Rashad saying that the wrestling coach for pros was some chiropractor whose biggest wrestling job was asst. coach at a HS where he got fired for selling roids to teenages and that sparring with pros was open to "bums" off the street who had never trained before that day...

Not how it went down at all. I'll never forget Rashad in interviews talking about how they said they would stand by him. He was like at the point of tears and said "ask Wink, he'll tell you." Next day Wink released a statement that was basically like "F Rashad. We were never friends." Then Jackson decided he'd stay out of the fight at first then changed his mind and on and on. The only time they did the right thing at that camp was when Arlovski fought Reem. They knew Andrei would get sonned and so did everyone so Reem did the choosing for them and said nah, I'm good in Holland.

I would think the worst part is Jackson pretending he’s impartial.
Greg's never there and I told you guys that in 2016.. He's got shit that actually pays a lot with gov contracts and focus.

There was a stark contrast between Jackson Fighters and Wink Fighters.. What cowboy was talking about is showing that divide in the gym. Wink is all about the business aspect where Jackson was about getting the best in the world to train there. When wink took over fully, he put in his own guys in pretty much all roles and it became about making money not about making the best in the world anymore. Like I said a couple years ago, you guys are going to be surprised once it all comes out.

I think Cowboy's beef with Jackson is that he didn't stick up for him when it came time to choose between Perry or Cowboy. He also claims that Jackson doesn't do much in the way of being a "partner" and was bringing up the fact that his name is on the wall just like Wink but doesn't really have much say in the way things are run. I'm just going on what Cowboy said during the interview.
Honestly, it sounds like Cowboy needed a change anyway. I just hope he can let this stuff go so he can focus on the fight. Perry, while not the greatest fighter, is no joke and can do him some serious damage.

I also think Cowboy did himself a disservice by putting the JW gym on blast for this since now the gym will go out of their way to reveal everything they know about Cowboy to Perry. Perry has already done a bit of a flip on being respectful to Cowboy now that the cat is out of the bag.

I like both guys to be honest but in this case I hope Cowboy comes in sharp and takes this one, just for his own sake. :)
They'll already have shown Perry everything.. that's why he's so pissed about it. This is another Rashad/Jones situation.. just Perry's not championship level anything but will make wink money.

I have Rogan on sub through iTunes and my podcast showed as the original length but when I listened to it all that shit was cut out. I really don’t give a fuck about hearing it but I made a comment about how cowboy would regret this podcast in one of the many threads that were made about this show and it seems I was correct.

yep I thought you were only talking about the wink bashing part...I was wrong, didn't realize he had talked criminal acts and the acts of others.

was a great podcast and I can't say that much for JRE very often anymore

OUR MAIN WRESTLING COACH OF JACKSONWINK, THE GREATEST SCHOOL IN THE F*CKING WORLD…IS A RECEPTION TO A CHIROPRACTIC UPSTAIRS. .

Lmao.. that's the best part. Bringing MMA back to its roots.

This is like when I found out that "hammer house" was just Mark Coleman and some dudes hanging out on his back porch. But then again they were all talented.

And by the way, of the teams that went out there, I think it’s 100 percent of people lost, because ‘Cowboy’ wants to do what he wants to do on his timeframe, and it didn’t work for the fighters that train out there at the gym. So that made our percentage look bad, because we lost a lot of fights because of it.

“If Perry wasn’t at my gym, I’m so much happier now that I got rid of the division in my gym (and) somebody that doesn’t want to help others and wants to do his own thing. It has absolutely nothing to do with Perry, and everything to do with Perry.”

Just sounds like they are confirming what cowboy said... Looking for a reason to get rid of cowboy and found a good replacement.

It's kind of interesting that it's couched in loyalty.

Later, Winkeljohn added: “If I suck so bad, he absolutely would want to fight Perry. I hope he doesn’t back out of the fight now because I suck so bad
This is where he lost me as this being pretty two-sided. That seems mighty petty and obviously cowboys concern is that Mike Perry is being custom trained by people that have inside knowledge of Cowboys training style regimen strengths and weaknesses.

Cowboy's clear that his concern is inside knowledge being given, not just that that WJ sucks.
