UFC executives are preparing for a huge week after the exclusive negotiating window with ESPN comes to an end on Tuesday, which means potential suitors can start making a pitch at landing the broadcast rights for the next TV deal starting in 2026.

While TKO Group Holdings CEO Ari Emanuel is going to lead negotiations just like he’s done for the UFC for the past couple of broadcast deals — dating back before he even owned the company — UFC boss Dana White obviously has a vested interest in how this all plays out. To be clear, the exclusive negotiating window with ESPN coming to a close doesn’t mean the Disney-owned network can’t strike a new deal with the UFC but instead this just opens up the bidding for other networks and possible streaming partners to get involved.

“When the window opens, we’ll obviously start talking to lots of different people and we’ll see what the options are out there,” White said during the UFC 314 post-fight press conference. “We’ve said this every time. There could be a time when we end up on several different networks like all other sports do.

“I like ESPN. I’ve said it many times, we had a bit of a rocky start, which is normal in any relationship, but we’re in a great place with ESPN. If we re-sign with them or do not, I have nothing but great things to say about my time at ESPN.”

The Fighter money won't go up, but the PPV prices, Ticket costs and Sponsorship money for the company has exponentially! The minimum Fight purse should be 50k...

Agreed. The price of tickets is nuts these days.

I don't think any UFC employee (staff) should make more than any fighter who fights 3 times a year.

It feels like I’m watching regional talent more and more with each card as well.

But what if there are fighters that WANT to fight for current pay? Are you saying they should not be allowed to chose how much money they need in order to fight? See how that works? Are fighters dumb for fighting for so little money? Yes. Should they be allowed to? Also yes.

I stopped watching when the ESPN deal happened. I stream the big fights but fuck this watered down product.

I've heard they're going to follow WWE to Netflix. Apparently they aren't making the PPV model work anymore.

They really messed up the PPV model, forcing customers to sign up for an ESPN + subscription while consistently raising PPV prices.

Google: To buy a UFC PPV event, you need an active ESPN+ subscription. You can then purchase the PPV event through the ESPN app or the ESPN+ website. The cost is $79.99 per event.

Between not having any stars, and PPV's costing 100 bucks, it's not a surprise no one wants to buy them. Dana should have thrown a dump truck full of money at the judges with the instructions "If this isn't badly one sided, Alex is keeping that fucking belt"

And you have to have a cable or steaming subscription for another party that includes ESPN in order to get ESPN+ to work.
